Mustang First Take-Off and Landing: Post your Tracks/Vids

For the sake of posterity, herewith a thread to post your first attempts at a take-off and landing in your new ride. Few things are as sweet as the 'first time'.

For the sake of a benchmark so to speak, herewith a vid captured of a take-off and landing. By no means my first, so not strictly relevant: Just an example.

OK then - let's see the tracks/vids :D

In my own defense, I had 1 wing while landing. 0 after coming to rest.

The pilot looks a lot like your avatar!;)

Well, that certainly looks easy ;)

Sure it does, just aim for the dark spot on the runway!:P

That's what you get for trying to chase Indiana Jones through the tunnel. ;)

This just might be my first DCS title.

Might be smoother than IL-2 Ben Dover.

How was scripting in DCS? Can the mission creator spawn ground units on the fly via scripts etc (like in ArmA and IL2)?

(btw thanks for efforts Yoyo :) )

The result of several trips to Duxford by Yoyo doing a LOT of audio sampling.

Not surprising, it sounds too good to be "fake".

Also sounds like he had to get pretty close... please do try to keep Yo-Yo in one piece :D

I think I'll start on runway first. Cold start will take too long.

Trust me, cold starting a Mustang is a piece of cake compared to the A-10C and Black Shark. Take a look at the Quick Start guide in the Doc folder.

Yes. It is possible, but it's more complicated than if the mission designer setup a mission with multiple units that have randon spawn values(much easier).

If you're having trouble with TO, don't forget there are "Takeoff assist" & "Rudder assist" sliders in the ME.

There's only one way to learn..

And that's the hard way..:pilotfly:

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
