pchRage
I haven't come across an action that uses it.... What does it do in the F16? AA, AG, TGP, etc etc?

pchRage
thanks @kengou! Is it just a temp disable, and press again re-enables autopilot? Does it actually force the autopilot left panel switches back to their default positions?
pchRage
decided to test and answer my own q. so it appears to only be a temporary (as in you have to hold it) to disable autopilot. the second I release the paddle, then the auto kicks back in... seems...odd... VampireNZ
... seems...odd... Not particularly, enables you while in ALT HOLD to hold the paddle and fly to a different ref altitude and release to select that alt, and enables you to reposition the aircraft without fully cancelling AP mode, or having to override ATT modes with stick control forces etc. Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha| i7-6700K @ 4.60GHz | nVidia GTX 1080ti Strix OC 11GB @ 2075MHz| 16GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200Mhz DDR4 CL14 | Samsung 950 PRO 512GB M.2 SSD | Corsair Force LE 480GB SSD | Windows 10 64-Bit | TM Warthog with FSSB R3 Lighting Base | VKB Gunfighter Pro + MCG | TM MFD's | Oculus Rift S | Jetseat FSE [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kengou
In the other sim I found it most useful when using the terrain following radar and low level autopilot modes, to interrupt it when it did something wacky like pitch up wildly to avoid weather.
