Profiles directory (HOTAS, TrackIR, TouchBuddy, VAC etc.)

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I`m recently started with DCS 1.5, after quite some time of absence to the FlightSim-Community. I got myself the Thrustmaster T16000M HOTAS System, with Stick and Throttle. No Rudders so far, as I`m planning to go for MFD Crosswinds, if I stick to DCS.

I`m doing my first training rounds in the SU-25T at the moment and I struggle with deciding what I should bind to which key / axis on my HOTAS.

Are there any good Profiles for the T16000 out there? Or some good advice, which functions you should map to which buttons, if you`re not a Warthog-user?

Any small push in the right direction would be appreciated...

Thx,

Dennis

TM Target Profile For Spitfire LF MK IX

Back up your saved games folder so you can go back. We will be clearing all Tm Hotas Wartog settings from your DCS Keyboard.diff.lua. This way you can go back if you like.

Spitfire Profile assumes Trackir or other way of looking. rudder or other way of yaw and toe brakes and Thrustmaster Hotas Wartog one .fcf file to run only once the keyboard has been updated with the keyboard file.

The three pics can be printed as legends or put in a kneeboard.

Readme attached. Beware uses throttles to turn mags on and off by parking them.

One does not have to use them and can use keys instead.

Edited profile as of July 23 2017 for Spitfire

Edited to add ESC to menu option, reset trackir and hold PTT for teamspeak.

Testing now for no keyboard required for flight. Working well. I would say VR ready.

We can discuss it here:

Also could discuss the other profiles from myself there. Here is my BF-109 Target Profile. I am not convinced it doesn't need changes but it seems right.

Edited changes to include ESC to Menu, Reset Trackir and hold PTT for teamspeak. It should be VR ready. No keyboard required once in. Testing

Target P-51D TM Hotas Wartog Profile

Here is my Target profile for the P-51. One .fcf Target file to run.

Easy to edit at will in the gui. Bombs, guns and rockets. It gets the job done keyboard free with room to grow in the I layer. VR?

I made these quick and easy templates to get me going with a Hotas Wartog and a Spitfire. I DO have pedals and if not this would be lacking. I DO have Trackir as well and so of course people will make their own personal choices.

It works pretty well for a starting point and they fit in the kneeboard quite nicely.

There are no scripts, addins, apps or modifiers required.

I am simply sharing a starting point since I could find nothing on the Spitfire in that respect.

I'll keep my lua files out of it.

It's quite comprehensive for the Spit.

Very hand -- thanks!

Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS-X

Hello all!

For those with the cheap and trusty Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS-X stick, here are some useful profiles I've refined over the years. They are meant to reflect the actual controls found on their real-life counterparts. They each come with a few different flavors and color themes.

The most recent versions are always found on the ED User Files pages, as I've linked below. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions! :)

newbie needs a lesson in setting up X52

I've been messing around for weeks trying to set up my x52 controllers throttle and stick. Need some advice on how to do it. Like modes, I see profiles talking about modes, how do you set them up, how do you program the come with software to work in DCS? How do you program the mouse control on the throttle to work in DCS? How do you get a slider or rotational control to work in DCS? I have been wasting time and everyone on YouTube only puts part of the solution up, like you are born knowing this stuff. Need some help, especially when you have to put DMS, TMS, Coolie Switches, and other things together and you don't even know what they do. :(

At the very least it might give you some ideas, or you can download the package and try it out.

For other planes you will have to make your own, and when you do, please share it :)
