NATO Personnel and Items

Here is a fix for the floating troops.

Download:

Download the zipped file and extract the contents.

1. Copy the two lua files and place them in the natoGF folder.

2. Allow them to replace the existing files.

This should resolve the floating troops issue. Make sure you select the *NATO_Soldier in the mission editor when placing the troops. Selecting one of the naval vessel troops will have them spawn in the air, as they are designed for specific deck heights.

The FARP Mod has to be placed on flat ground due to the nature of the current map mesh, irrespective of map type.

Thx for quick reply!! But I havn´t only the problem with the Troops the Biggest problem are the FARPS from ur MARSDEN Mod. Or is there the same issue?

I use this Mod a lot and would like to ask if could you please add a winter livery for the russian soldier?

I'm editing missions for the MiG-19 and cold war scenarios simply look better (grimer) when set on Winter, but those green soldiers on the snow just dont look good at all :(

Hi,

I have a small problem with this very good mod:

The only "winter soldier" I can place is the US soldier.

I placed the folder in saved games and tried to follow your "read me". But I must have misunderstood something. Maybe because english is not my native tongue.

Could you please give a more detailed instruction for the placement of the different folders ??

I followed the instructions exactly but there is one item I can`t found.

It`s the Rusiansolder2- RUSSIAN2WINTER.

It works with NatoSoldier-Wintercamo

and with USSOLDIER-USWINTER.

In that case you have an incomplete download of the original mod. I would recommend a fresh download using the link in the first post: UPDATE 19/04/19 NATO GF Mod:

Having completed that download myself a few minutes ago, as a test, it does contain all the files. Perhaps there was a corrupted download your end originally but that should be resolved with a fresh version. Cheers.

While most of your Mod is fortunately not affected by the recent update of DCS to v2.5.5 ... there are however, three figures that do not work on the new version:

*GndCrew_Winter1_Idle

*GndCrew_Winter2_check

*GndCrew_Winter2_Idle

Hopefully you can re-create their EDM files to make them compatible.

I can do the cammo no problem but the sniper option would not be possible I am afraid. Although I have created a ghilli suit livery for the NATO soldier...a little tongue in cheek option.

No worries about the sniper. I really appreciate the great work you do.

It seems there is a problem with this mod. If they are set to start off road they will walk along in the air. When they walk over tarmac they drop to the ground and continue.

I'm editing a couple of missions for the I-16 but the lack of proper support units is killing me :(

Any chance you could adapt your Mod to include some men that could look like WW2 Soviet soldiers? ... I dont mind if the weapons cant be changed, but would love to have infantry that at least resembles the real deal.

Here are some photos to inspire you :)

Maybe you can use as a base the Soldiers of the WW2 Assets Pack rather than those of the base DCS?
