ED Team NineLine Posted September 3, 2018 ED Team Share Posted September 3, 2018 Nineline, the multiplayer issues I mention a few replies above began with Update 4 and arrived in Stable without correction. That's where we got that idea. But, good thing you released the hotfix 2 for the ME, on a sunday no less. But the Nevada and Normandy crashes are still a thing. If there's no fix until wednesday, won't you still release this version to Stable? If you do not, I stand corrected. If the Open Beta is still in a rough state, as it is currently, it will not be pushed to Stable. ED Team NineLine Posted September 3, 2018 ED Team Share Posted September 3, 2018 Can’t fly VR at all in these updates. Can’t select menu items - like ‘Fly’! - and so much blurriness of movement as ASW isn’t working. I went back to 2.5.2 till this is fixed. First time I’ve ever had to revert an OB build. Yup, for Oculus Users its not a very fun experience right now, but we also appreciate those that stick it out with Open Beta, and report their troubles, it goes a long way to helping fix them. cercata
IMHO, ED tryed to do it Right, having a Beta for testing, and a Stable release where most of the people is playing. But many people installed the Beta not for testing, but for having access to new features sooner ... Once OB has more users/servers than the stable version, ED can't make it right anymore. Making a release takes time, making a game stable takes time, if we can't wait for it, then we better don't ask them to have a stable version. It's our fault, not ED's fault. Sitll it makes sense the Stable Branch, for offline players, if an OB release breaks completly the game, it will not be pushed to the stable branch. Varis
Nobody forces you to fly the early access planes. Also I see the release version is more for the benefit of the single player community. At times when the beta was in a bad shape I was flying the release version. Often you could just switch to other aircraft when say the hornet was broken. nessuno0505
I have both installed side by side. Usually I do not buy early access products but I like to try new features and the majority of people play open beta, and so do I. But if an open beta update ruins the simulator (remember for example hotas config problem that messed up all planes custom configurations?) then I play on stable and wait for the open beta fix. No hotas problem for me in this way.
kalas1988
Hey guys, just out of curiosity which version are you using? Beta or stable? I have just switched to beta, and I have found that the mission editor takes longer to load. Regards Asrock Z270 pro4, i7 6700, gtx 1070
