10 key keypad as UFC

Recommended Posts

I found a 10key keypad that I was hoping to use to emulate the UFC in the F/A-18 and F-16, but it looks like DCS doesn't recognize it as separate from the regular full size keyboard on my computer, as there isn't a separate column for it in the controls settings. Is there a way I can force DCS to see it as a separate device?

There are a number of approaches to this, but it’s not really done in dcs, more in windows:

I ended up following one of the LUAmacros tutorials, it mostly works.

The only problem is that DCS reads both the LUA programmed macro and the original keystroke. which apparently comes down to the way DCS reads my keyboard interfering with the way LUAmacros reads my keyboard, and according to the LUAmacros dev, the problem can't be fixed.

Fortunately, the numpad keys are mostly view commands, so it just jiggles my camera around a bit when I type stuff into the UFC.
