SA-8 vs. A-G missiles (Mavericks)

I've got a question concerning capabilities of the SA-8. In DCS SA-8 can track and shoot down small A-G missiles (Mavericks). I saw this in my SEAD-Mission with AJS-37/RB-75. I can`t find any information about it. Is this the matter in reality?

Best Regards

edit and answer to my question: schroedi from german-forums told me that SA-4N (naval version of SA-8 ) is able to destroy missiles (seaskimmer), so SA-8 might also have the capability.

whilst i dont know if thats exactly the case IRL the sa8 does seem to need a very long long acquisition period before it can launch a missile within DCS

going by CA module and ingame experience its around 20 something seconds, which allows you to close the gap to sa8s quite easily if you have some terrain masking to work with.

It is no problem with AJS-37/RB-75. Even without terrain masking. the first Maverick might be tracked and destroyed by the SA-8, but the second is the matchwinner. I tried this with A-10C also, no chance.
