Tanker action, auto station time?

Hello Mission planner specialists,

Please help me understand the following:

When planning an KC135 with automatic enroute action "tanker", does it require the manual addition of "orbit" or "racetrack" action for it to stay any length of time on station?

If auto will do, how is time on station setup? Couldnt find proof in the KC135 flight plan timing.

Thanks.

Scuby

Yes (to the best of my knowledge).

You could also give it an arbitrary number of waypoints, and the tanker would be available for the entire flightplan, but without waypoints or after passing the last waypoint, it'll just try to land ASAP. In short, orbit is the best way to keep the tanker on station.
