This is how DM looks, from outside plain and simple.
But from inside infinite complex
The DM was never underestimated, we knew/know what kind of an undertaking it is to bring something that is worthy of DCS.

Oh sorry i made wrong impression. I didnt mean that ED underestimated anything.
I was trying to say that even best peperation and full awarnes isnt goint to pepare for upcomming problems, which werent visible from outside.
That is why ETA will be uknown

Agreed, the damage model is one super complex one and I expect that after release there will still be a mix of model updates and fixes to arising issues. This model is a very complex marriage or should I say polygamy of several disciplines.

Will be nice though when into beta.

All I know is DCS WW2 was way more fun when part of the damage model was released by accident for a few days. I want it back.

We still have it. The effects are still there.

can I humbly request the coolant leak animation gets tweaked.

At present it envelopes the whole aircraft from all angles acting as a shield cloak. 109's especially, then they still continue to fly around for 20minutes before they make it back to base. I mean IF they actually had THAT much coolant how big would their coolant tanks actually be??? zeppelin size?? If they run dry then stop the animation and have the engine actually seize up!!

It's reported, there should be a difference in major and minor leaks and they should leak from the appropriate locations, and of course, stop when the fluid runs out.

Nope, when the DM was out you could see all your bullet hits on aircraft and aircraft were not bullet sponges. It was a great few days.

I'm playing on the second to latest (latest later today) OB, and you can still see all the bullets hit, though I think the poofs are still a bit dramatic for .50 cal impacts, but I'll have to trust ED on how it looks.
