aaplmike
Hey all, I'm looking for accurate switch models (STL) for an A-10C simpit. I'm willing to trade laser cutting/engraving, custom vinyl work or 3D printing. These will be for a simpit based on VRpit's plans. Thanks!
Deadman
not sure what you mean by Switch models? https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. Deadman
I understood that when he asked for the STL files. There happens to be several different type of switches in the cockpit and I am not sure what good the STL file will do him. Heck I have modeled all most ever thing in he pit but not the back end for the switches. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. WhoMadeWho
Switches See attached. I've had these for a few years. Unfortunately I don't recall where I found these. Hopefully these help you out.Switches.zip
aaplmike
Thanks, all. Sorry, I meant knobs for the most part. Deadman, great job on modeling the knobs you have! I'm hoping to have the same success doing so myself. Thanks, WhoMadeWho. Looks like the best bet for the landing/taxi light control is to just buy it, unless someone has successfully made a decent replica.
Deadman
The main problem doing it your self is not all of the knobs are listed with part # any ware many dont8 have part# or spec sheets. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
