talk on area and structure descriptions

Recommended Posts

alot of times in youtube vids and in books, there are terms that afacs use like

berm

ravines

embankment

revetment

these and alot more are used during talk ons when attempting to identify and locate a target in a complex environment.

I'd like to learn more about these structures and how they looks like and other structures so that descriptors can be used. So my idea of this thread is to help me and others learn.

my native language is not English so excuse my curiosity.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
