pegg00
Cant find anything online and I'm super curious and excited for it. I cant even find the announcement or any info at all about it. WW2 modules are my absolute favorite and this is the only WW2 module I've heard is in development so far. Can anyone provide links or updates to the F4U Corsair or any other WW2 modules expected, please and thanks. Art-J
That's because F4U is being developed by Magnitude3, so search through their section of the forum. The sort-of-announcement (or rather confirmation) was posted last December, but there hasn't been any substantial news on the subject since then: http://leatherneck-sim.com/magnitude3-new-years-update/ As for other warbirds, well, VEAO claim they still work on their P-40. Given their past record make of it anything you want. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10. Since you were asking for updates, we've posted a few things on facebook but since not everyone is following there, I thought its worth posting them here too. Quote Going to need more than a death whistle to destroy those ground targets! The Mk.5 Mod.3 rocket launcher pylons were designed to help prevent accidental releases during hard landings. The rear pylon utilizes a safety latch, that can only be disengaged by a small lanyard attached to the igniter cable. Once the rocket's igniter cable is sent the electrical signal to fire the rocket, the blast forces it to become unplugged pulling the lanyard with it. Thus allowing the rocket to safely launch. The front pylon is actually the Mk.5 Mod.2 that a small lanyard attaches to from the fuze cap. As the rocket pulls away from the pylon, the lanyard pulls a pin, that allows the cap to spring off and engage the fuze's impeller; arming the warhead. 4 1 AMD Ryzen 5900X @ 4.95 Ghz / Asus Crosshair VII X470 / 32 GB DDR4 3600 Mhz Cl16 / Radeon 6800XT / Samsung 960 EVO M.2 SSD / Creative SoundBlaster AE-9 / HP Reverb G2 / VIRPIL T-50CM / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Audio Technica ATH-MSR7

Tree_Beard
I'm sure I'll get jumped on in here, but I bet I'm not the only person who feels maybe a tad bit frustrated when I see showcase videos of things like.. idk, hyper realistically modeled hinges and hydraulic lines when the wings fold up and down. Like... that's cool I guess, but to me, that sort of thing can come in a patch as additional eye candy, and its not the sort of thing you delay the release of the module to implement. Yes, there is something to be said for "release a finished product." There's nothing at all wrong with that mindset, but I think there's also a possible balance that can be achieved between releasing an empty, broken "early access" product and spending a decade making sure every rivet is fully simulated before release. Maybe I'm uninformed and they are still working on important core systems simultaneously to the superficial stuff. Either way, all the best to M3, I'm still looking forward to this plane when it finally releases, whenever that may be. billythebassman
I applaud them for introducing a brand new marketing strategy. It's called VLA...Very Late Access. Seriously, this is getting quite ridiculous.
Rudel_chw
I fail to see exactly how these sarcastic posts help to get the module to market sooner, why don't these people fly something else while they wait .. I fly the Mosquito and don’t even worry about the Corsair, will purchase it when its released and that’s it .. I simply don’t feel that urge to pester the developers. 7 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Hammer1-1
if all they're doing is working on the carrier at the moment, Id rather they work on the Corsair instead. The vast majority of them never flew off carrier decks anyways, and its going to be a royal PITA to land on them in this a/c anyways. That said, Id rather have a fully realized aircraft before early access as that horse is being beat to death. 1 Intel 13900k @ 5.8ghz | 64gb GSkill Trident Z | MSI z790 Meg ACE| Zotac RTX4090 | Asus 1000w psu | Slaw RX Viper 2 pedals | VKB Gunfighter Mk3 MCE Ultimate + STECS/ Virpil MongoosT50+ MongoosT50CM |Virpil TCS+ AH64D grip + custom AH64D TEDAC | HP Reverb G2 | Windows 11 Pro | |Samsung Odyssey G9 | Next Level Racing Flight Seat Pro My wallpaper and skins
AG-51_Razor
I respectfully disagree. First off, I am hopefull that the majority of their work on the plane is finished and they are just tidying up the boat before release. While I fully understand your sentiments, and you are correct about the Corsair's carrier carreer during the war, I am really looking forward to the challenge of learning to land it on a carrier. In fact, I might go so far as to say that, without the carrier, I probably wouldn't buy it. I mean, I already have the Jug so what do I need with another round motor plane in the hanger??!! It's the tail hook man!!! I would be inclined to mirror your comments with the caveat that I would prefer they just release it as is without all the time and resources "wasted" on lighting for both the carrier and cockpit since in reality, the Corsairs spent very little time flying at night and even less time operating off a carrier in the dark. And finally, regardless of how you or I feel about it, they are going to do what they want to do and we'll get it when they decide it's ready, hopefully sooner rather than later. 5 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
