I saw that fps are very low when taking off from a normal carrier...wonder what will be with this superdetailed carriers. i am on 2080ti, i7 8700 and valve index. I mean if we will able to use it with 45fps at least....

If you are getting 45fps and it is smooth in VR with DCS you are ok.

I have the same 45fps with a vive cosmos, in my super carrier tests I have not noticed any dip in FPS.

Thanks

the frames they are getting wont be the frames you are getting. everyones system is different and even if you have the same specs software differences will change it too. things like background tasks, how much load your processor is dealing with, and remaining drive space will also have an impact on your stability. but the one ship shouldnt impact it THAT much. if it does just mash escape and pull trees and grass down. solves all my problems for vr

I think the idea of the supercarrier sounds great too but I’m slightly reluctant about the potential performance drop, I’ll be waiting to see what others are getting before I buy. It looks awesome in the trailer though, great work.

I do take it that VR support is available upon initial release?

I think fps will likely take a hit in VR with the added detail, as it already drops dramatically in tandem with the number of assets in the area. Hence I find the busy campaigns pretty much a no no in VR even with the 2080. Vulkan and multithreaded support is the only answer and hopefully that arrives sooner rather than later.

Needless to say I still bought the SC dlc.

My guess is 4.5 fps in VR. But we will have to wait and see.

I really trust what DCS is doing with VULKAN. I hope it will bring better performance to VR. I bought F18 and supercarrier hoping that.

It would be nice to have VULKAN before the summer. Is there any possibility?
