Two days ago I had to open it by going to the user/appData section. Yesterday I just double clicked the beta on my desktop and it opened right up. Not sure if there was an update in between that fixed something that windows 10 screwed up.

Once you open it in appdata and allow Windows 10 to run it, it should run each time. But SSA won't autoupdate this way.

We should be able to check for updates within the program itself hopefully. I always let it minimize and launch dcs since it picks up everything it needs on it's own.

It won't probably won't work for a couple of days of release as the Aircraft has to be programmed into SSA

Hey,

there are some reports that there might be an issue with Windows forcing this behaviour...

You could try to start the application from it's install path.

It's usually something like: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\somename\somename\sims..tion_somehash use the date modified field in the explorer to find the correct entry...

Cheers

This should fix SSA not working with the latest Windows update

My guess is that it would use the generic jet profile until its programmed in.

Sorry no it doesn't but F410 has promised to work 24 hours a day to get us an initial implimentation.

I will get some AOA buffet information from one of my colleagues so we have realistic buffet from the seat.

Not 24 but close :D. I'll take time of from work on the 31th and 1st to implement support for the FA18...

All the issues with SSA not starting must be related to some Windows updates. After you've started SSA from the install location you should be able to use the normal shortcut/icon/launcher which also checks for updates...

Cheers

I can confirm that the windows 1803 spring creators update causes problems with the app not opening any more. Running it directly from the AppData locations worked for me though.

Noted similar issue/fix. I think running as Admin helps too.

Yes... it is a bug in the Windows 10 1803 spring update:

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7cbd16f5-526e-4b0b-a186-3ebf41b7b349/smartscreen-prompt-does-not-show-for-clickonce-app-since-windows-10-update-1803?forum=win10itprogeneral

Other applications using the same technique are affected as well

Currently working on the FA 18C support...

Looks like, I'm not able to extract the RPM values. Has anyone an idea?

Update: Basic implementation done...

I'll publish a new beta version now. Some features are still not tested/adjusted... So please report any issue...

I've got an update to the beta by double clicking the beta icon on my desktop but I also have to still start it from the apps folder under user section. Did the startup trianing for the hornet but it did not detect the f18 until I closed sim Shaker and opened it again. I will fly again soon so hopefully it detects this time.
