God that's a huge difference IMO, just by adding some cm's.

About the RPM, it would be similar to what the A-10A used to have, but it was a bit faster... 4200r/m or 2100r/m, but this was later changed to 3900 (62-65), being a fixed RPM.

Most exciting thing about it is its speed and multicrew ability!
It's prohibited to use cannon at speeds slower than 120 km/h

Mi-24PK-2, the beast, the predcessor of Mi-35M. It's avionics were later integrated with Mi-35M. Also would love to see this modification, but it's nearly impossible

While the muzzle velocity difference may be considerable, I suppose it wouldn't matter that much in practice. After all, GSh-30-2 is fired from an aircraft that is going 300 to even 600 km/h faster than the Mi-24 and I suppose that will make a difference. So I'd expect them to hit with roughly similar force, to a similar range.

All I'm thinking of is that Russian designers clearly didn't know the word "subtle" when it came to that cannon.

Utter beast Going to be fun in night flights though when you blind yourself with the huge muzzle flash.

Yes correct, as to avionics, don't worry, we don't need MFD's to shoot down tomcats and hornets
