AI Laser Designation Without JTAC?

The JTAC/FAC approach replicates the CAS mission.

What about laser designation by AI units without that process? E.g., a preplanned LGB deep strike with (simulated) special forces designating targets? Or an AI spotter (in a helo or another aircraft). So no troops in contact, no 9-line. etc. Is there a way to set that up in a mission?

It doesn't really do anything to the AI, it's just a JTAC script for automatic lazing without having to go through the radio process. If the laser codes match, then I imagine it'll track.

Can it be implemented in any AI with laser irradiation function? I only know how to make them launch lasers and smoke bombs, but how can I make them launch infrared rays?

So is it possible that the AI F-14 lases a ground target with its Lantirn?

From the available docs, it does not look like there is any restriction on the type of AI unit that can lase. So, it seems like a "yes" to your question? Have not tried it myself ...

Suntsag has a few tutorial videos on his channel about setting up AI jtacs in a mission

Setting up an AI JTAC isn't the issue though.

I was looking to basically do exactly what this script does, except instead of a laser code, just an IR mark.

I wanted to record my own audio and not use the AI Jtac. Thank you though :)
