I see one comment mentioning a huge in-game performance hit. What’s it looking like for everyone else? Better/worse/no change?

50% lower than previous 2.5.5 (in VR). For me its near unplayable, a stutterfest it seems that loading of terrain is much lower.

I believe the repair is in trouble. I went to repair and it downloaded version 2.5.5 over 2.5.6. Now I have to download 2.5.6 again. Please check ED.

Was sth wrong with it?

In VR it was often the size of penny at arms length (waaay to small, by probably a factor of 5-10x). Plus it was barely bright enough.

Yeah, this is a not a "smooth" release. Probably the worst I've seen in my time here. Hopefully they get it sorted out.

  • We just fixed a major last-minute bug (A bug that will upset the large group of players specialized in landing Mig-21 inverted on a carrier), and we would want it in the release -> OK, stop the release -> merge the fix -> build -> test -> ..

I thought everyone knew that was a unique feature of the

If you restart Steam it will revert Open Beta to 2.5.5.41962

I was 3 hrs into the download and restarting Steam, cancelled the new Open Beta update, keeping my Steam install on 2.5.5.41962

I downloaded and ran the 2.6 update. Kaspersky Total Security deleted some files so I did a repair and VHO:hacktool.win32.inject.gen is once again in my open beta\bin\worldgeneral.dll folder.

Sorry for the cross post.

Same. Not sure what to do.

Is anybody else running Kaspersky and not having this flagged as a virus?

You need to step outside at night with a penny sometime.

IDK, I do some amateur astronomy and the moon always looked wrong in DCS VR to me (way too small).

I don't run VR but I'd be surprised if the moon is the a different size than on a regular display. You probably just fly with a relatively wide-angle FOV.

It should be roughly the same size as the sun.

Yes it is and both are too small in VR. I think there are some weird scaling things for VR. At any rate, its not like a "major" problem, just annoying.

There's no issues with my steam version.

Are you on 2.5.5 or 2.5.6? They canceled 2.5.6 for steam till they got it sorted.
