DCS F5E Steam release price (Brazil)

Is this how it should be, cause: https://steamdb.info/app/411894/ (here it says that the price for the DCS F5E Tiger 2 in Brazil should be equal to R$105,99)

And the current price is R$ 207,99 (which is a big difference)

I've been waiting to get the F5 on Steam so that I could avoid the dollar overpay.

Is this a bug or...?

The F-5 is 60 Dollars

Calculating the R into USD makes around 60 USD, so nothing wrong with the Prize

You can check the prize on this website: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/

I'm well aware of that, but the point is, Steam lets us avoid the convertion.

Take for example the F86F, MiG-15Bis, Huey and Mi-8 (all belsimtek's modules)[and actualy all the other ones too]

F86F/MiG-15Bis = R$90,99

Huey/Mi-8 = R$84,99

As mentioned above, all the other DCS modules are also arround the same price tags, for example, FC3 and A10C are R$ 72,99

EDIT: DCS: L39C/ZA is 59,99 dollars in ED's website and it costs R$72,99 on steam, and I own it.

It just makes no sense that the F5E's price is 207 Reais.

The only module that is taking the exact convertion value from R$ to $ is the F5E.

And if you take a look at this: https://steamdb.info/app/411894/ you should see that the price for the F5 is supposed to be R$ 105,99

It just makes no sense that the F5E's price is 207 Reais.

Probably related to a couple of forum posts that mentioned the savings that could be made using alternative currencies on Steam and third party sites reselling keys bought in favourable currencies (circumventing localised pricing).

Because of a few, a large minority have to suffer?

^ Not Brazilian myself, but the way I see it, that explanation doesn't add up, because:

a) all other modules are still around 100 R$, aren't they?

b) even if "dirty" resellers were getting them for free, with new license registering policy these keys would not be reusable in DCS anyway.

For some reason You guys have Steam region pricing working for most modules and not working for the F-5E. That's puzzling.

The price isn't wrong, they changed their policies because people were buying the modules through the Steam, and then selling them for a profit.

Now, the Steam and DCS website have the same price because of some people doing that.

I'm not sure thats the case .. on my country, the Steam price for the F-5 is US$40 while on ED its US$ 60.

Seems to me that it's a Steam error on some markets, and probably out of reach for ED to fix.

Looks like some countries were not affected by this change.

R$207,99 It's too much! I'll never buy a module with that price, specially a module with such low complexity. I'm a member of a huge Brazilian DCS group and everybody are saying the same! This is a big fricking NOPE for me and the majority of Brazilians!

We know the dollar is a bit expensive, but it's NOT ED fault, they are selling the DCS modules for the SAME price.

Please, let's discuss this subject with respect. Buying the F-5 for R$200 is an option, buy if you WANT, if you don't have enough money, or you think it's too expensive, please do not buy..

As Sith said, this is how it works, DCS isn't based on Steam..

I understand that feeling, I'm a brazilian too, but this won't help...

As Vitor well said, it's not ED fault. We can't just blame ED, it's not their fault that our economy is in a (really) bad moment.

Asking to boycott ED won't help you at all.

All other mods are not the last ones... so there should be a difference. I live in Brazil too, the problem is not the RS, nor the US, is Brazil itself. Do you complain about cell phones companies priceing? Or do you blame the taxes, and the goverment?

Just wait to see if it is a mistake or not before judging.

Then we just ask to increase all prices and problem solved don't you think? ;)

Ok, now seriously, it's pretty clear ED has changed their policies because people were abusing the key share system. People are buying modules for lower prices, and selling it for US$ 59,99.

Again, Asking to boycott ED won't help, if you wanna talk to ED and see if something can be done, the forum isn't the best place for that.

I recommend you to create a support ticket:

Well, my doubts have been answered, and I really feel sorry for myself and all of the brazilians that now have to pay higher values for the modules (or simply the F5) but we really cannot blame ED/Belsimtek for that, as Vitor said, people were taking advantage of the Steam values to sell the products for higher ones.

It's not fair to blame them and suggest something like a boycott to the F5 or any other modules that come out, Belsimtek (as always) did an amazing job with their Tiger II.

I just bought it myself (yes, for the 207 Reais price) and I don't think I'll regret my decision (flew it for a little bit and loved it)

Sometimes things aren't the way we want them to be.

I'd like to ask a manager/mod to close/delete this thread if any other boycott or lack of respect towards ED's and BST's work appears, as neither one of them are at fault in regards to the Dollar convertion value for our money.

If instead of a boycott, comments trying to initiate a civilized discussion on how we could get our regional prices back, we could maybe come to an agreedment after hearing each other's point of view...This kind of attitude is what makes us brazilians so badly seen in the internet community.
