I felt like I was watching a NASCAR race. A never-ending left turn isn't exactly what I would call BFM.

You could zoom out of a 2 circle but that might give your opponent a snap shot in the process. You could also extend straight ahead and try to come back on neutral head on. Anyway, those performers are among the very best in FC and it's always easier to talk BFM than actually doing it.

These players are strong enough in WVR (dogfight) and when the fight is on the same type of aircraft and the level of players is enough to fend off a variety of tricks in the BFM, this type of fight often and just like what you saw in the videos. :)

I'm understand that this is not the full video and cut themselves out of fights.

But looking at the video I have a question, why such a poor quality video (at 720p)?

I also have the impression that the video of the "point of view" is modified as know that Kot and Zerol flying with TrackIR. And the video shows that the movement is not always similar to the logical view of the movement.

For example, in a battle with "Zerol vs SuperMutt" sometimes Zerol looks away from the enemy, while his opponent at the turn of the attack. Incredibly strange.

I've most likely forgotten to switch to high graphics settings when capturing the fights.

I am talking about the final video quality. Simulator graphics settings are good.

When I watch (on my TV) the videos then image fades in various artifacts. The feeling that we watching the video quality 240p. :(

Can not you make a video with less distortion? For example, using Fraps with converting source video in VirtualDub with AVC/H264 codec. :)

After discussing with our partners, we have decided to move our next events (Phoenix's Nest tatical battle and DCS 1000 Air Race) to September after the summer break.

Exact dates will be announced couple of weeks before the kickoff to allow pilots that signed up to confirm their participation.

In the meantime, people that would like to participate but have not signed up yet, please let us know by posting your callsign, name of the event and unit to operate in this thread. You can either go for a free slot (check available slots in the recap below) or go for an already taken slot to have priority in case of a withdrawal. It will be on first come first served basis.

Probably 2nd or 3rd weekend of September. It also depends on when the next patch will be released as the current version suffers from critical MP stability issues. 1.2.4 was way better than 1.2.5 MP wise...

Meanwhile, Greg is trying to lighten the mission for "Phoenix's Nest" as grounds units seem to cause instant CTD's.

Wow, and I srsly expected 1.2.5 to be looots better MP wise, after ~ 10 patches since 1.2.3/1.2.4... -.- :P

Yes me too, I 've come across a thread showing how to roll back to a previous version, we can always do that if necessary, in case next patch takes too long.

Now september ends, what is going to happen? :) How much longer to wait for stable MP version? ;)
