We earn bonus point by buying ED products, the more we spend the more we earn in bonuses, My question is if we earn these bonuses because we spend our money on their products why are we limited to only being able to use only a small fraction of what we earn at a time, why can't we use all our earned points to make a single purchase? It's admittedly a weird way of doing it, but if you just look at it as a loyalty discount rather than 'e-cash', it makes more sense. I can knock a $60 purchase down to $48, that's 20%, a fair discount for a brand new module like the Harrier. You don't often see new games on a Steam sale for that level of discount.

It's just a bonus, an extra. We should be glad they give this to us, and not pretend they are real money we can spend according to our terms

A few times during the year, ED allows us to exceed the usual limit of 30% Bonus usage ... like right now, when several modules can be had with 70% using Bonuses ... I've just used the Bonuses that I earned on my last purchase (the F-18 ) and thus bought Combined Arms for US$6 :)

Just wondering why we can't use all when making a purchase sense we can only earn the bonus points if and when we make a purchase....TC

ED have up to 70% sales sometimes, anymore and it would be giving them away.

Simply put, bonus points are not money, far from that. Think of it like "monopoly cash" printed by ED. As such, they decide how you can "spend" that monopoly cash

They equal a percentage and that percentage equal a dollar amount in the purchasing price at some point. I'm done with this subject. TC

They equal a percentage and that percentage equal to a similar virtual amount. It's not a change.

Unfortunately it is true. The more you give to others, the more they pretend
