[REPORTED]f-15c red flag 16-2 mission 6 broken? dcs 2.5

Recommended Posts

Hello I am having trouble with mission 6 in the f-15c red flag campaign. everything goes great, I meet up with b-1's and escort them in. We take down all the air threats and clear the way, but when Pontiac and dodge flights arrive on target they never drop their bombs. 2 of the b-1's circle bullseye for 3 or 4 revolutions then leave the area to the east. mission fails because dodge and Pontiac miss their targets. I checked tacview to make sure they were safe through the whole flight and confirmed that they never drop payload. this happened 3 times in a row.

is it something I am doing wrong or is this an issue with 2.5? thanks

F-15 red flag mission still broken?

old thread i know, but I cant find a solution. I am having the same problem with this mission. all enemy shot down all mission critical B1B and f-15 planes survive but still fail due to shot down plane/ target missed. surely SOMEONE must have figured this out by now

Me too. Did this mission more than 5 times, no hope. Either that B1B misses the target or crashed. 2.5 version has very serious AI problems.

Compared to the other Red Flag modules the F-15 red flag documents and data are not detailed much.

Taking off early before your wingman lines up is a problem, coz he'll end up crashing trying to catch up. Flying low altitude is a problem too, AI can't keep up, especially on low alt.

B1B flight not dropping ordinance resulting in mission fail.

I'm also having this problem. B1B's are not completing their bombing run.

I have gone over the TACVIEW and found Bone 2 & 3 drop ordinance, however Bone 1 does not.

I have flown this mission many times and ensure that all enemy fighters are destroyed well before the B1B flight arrive at their target.

I flew this last night and had the same thing. In Tacview I discovered that the B-1's just... disappeared on their way home, triggering the loss.

Also, telling your flight to RTB early (since they are always low on fuel), will cause them to fly into a mountain on the way home

It's the FSX disease. There AI airplanes show up and vanish into thin air too.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Mission 6 auto-fail when Pontiac flight disappears. No success triggers

I deserved to fail this flight too but all 3 B-1s from Pontiac survived, dropped their payload and make it all the way back past the FEBA. No success indication, just auto fail when the Pontiac flight disappears when it flew past the map region. I forgot to save the track file but here is the acmi file.

Also, Shell 1-1 flies outside of the map as well, which would also trigger failure condition.

Working on updates...
