hey guys

I am a Former artilleryman from the 1st Cavalry Division at fort hood (on the m109a6 like in the game) and I love the detail you have put into this game GREAT Job. I was wondering later down the road can you improve the artillery batteries with the m109a6 interior, a suggestion from someone who has been to combat in a m109a6 we carry 50cals on the gunners hatch(chiefs seat) there is also a lot more to our Artillery than a forward observer and shooting until you splash a target. if I can help you I will my number will be in a personal message if asked to help. but in case you have some legally binding contract that says you cant contact me then here are more suggestions. we have an entire list of components. Cannon Crewmember MOS 13B, there are 4 of us in the m109a6 driver number 1 man gunner and chief he runs the automated targeting system and 4man in an ammo track that carries extra rounds gunpowder and supplies(in total that's 8 crewmembers which we call a section there are 4 gun sections and 1 13D section in a platoon 4 platoons in a battery and three firing batteries and one headquarter battery in a battalion). Field Artillery Automated Tactical Data Systems Specialist MOS 13D, they get the info from forward observer and calculate and send to 13b to lay on target to fire for effect. Fire Support Specialist MOS 13F forward observers usually 4 guys in a striker on a hilltop gathering azimuths and windage and confirming or readjusting of the fire mission. Multiple Launch Rocket System Operations/Fire Direction Specialist MOS 13P missile artillery just run the same program substituting the m109a6 crew for the rocket truck. Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator MOS 13R they actually help EOD and other units reverse triangulate incoming fire on bases to send artillery fire out on the enemy and track incoming rounds to sound alerts on FOBs. Field Artillery Surveyor/Meteorological Crewmember MOS 13T they launch a balloon that weather techs the hell outta the tactical environment enough said they send info t 13D and that helps the adjustments from the 13F. Field Artillery Senior Sergeant MOS 13Z this is the head man in the TOC who controls all mission movements and firemission orders that come down from division brigade to the battalion then he distributes that info to different march orders to three different firing batteries each with 4 m109a6 and 4 ammo tracks. The headquarters battery consists of 13T promoted 13F and 13D to work command in the TOC with the 13Z and Battalion CO XO and CSM. I was injured in combat and am now medically retired enjoying mil sim games to keep my brain sharp i miss my job and am trying to save up enough to get the Combined Arms DLC I want to help you make this as detailed as you do for the aircraft and ships.... this was the prime of my life and I hope you take into consideration that I would love as well as others a more in depth artillery system and one more thing the combined arms vehicles need to be mountable and dismountable as in if we take small arms fire we don't have tanks at our disposal ever so we have to engage in ground combat make it so and you will have completely covered the entirety of the artillery realm after all we are called the KINGS OF BATTLE FOR A REASON and the infantry are queens. much love from me and the boys on the red end also put some Cav patches on the artillery guys you already have the overlays on the cavalry pilots and gunners make us one big happy family haha. I forgot to mention the reason why there are only 4 sections that make it to actually shoot artillery from a platoon of 16, we hold a in house competition to select a "top gun" section(they get a well earned red tip muzzle break on their m109a6) and they with the 3 highest scoring guns in the platoon get their choice of station when we go to combat and also get to test any brand new artillery stuff coming outta the Army Labs. If you get this right I will personally send your mil sim credentials to my former unit to help train the artillery guys.

Hello Cpl Punisher !

I really love the way DCS World have huge maps and high fidelity airborne weaponry and i agree with your opinion about the M109, to be honest i think the entire Combined Arms module need more love. its incredible how rich the game play of DCS could be with more realistic fire control, ballistics and damage model, i think interior would be awesome too for some specific vehicles.

OMG wall of text!

Please use punctuation and spacing so we can read it without a brain meltdown.

Sounds interesting, and I'd love to read it, But that big textblock really hurts
