I think LNS overplayed the tease and riddles too much.

We sure have to admire all these DCS developers: they make things (almost) any of us cannot make;

we get very much entertaining for paying some (not many) bucks: I understand that this Eagle will cost about 20,-- dollars........?;

however we will not be obliged to buy!!!!!;

and then all the complaining.......

I admire all these devs, who stay in this business and I hope that Magnitude will have much succes with their products!

Best regards, Willem

It's not a problem that anyone has to buy it. It's a problem of watering the concept. As the title states, DCS is a Combat sim. Any other, military module, even like a transport helicopter brings much more to the whole platform as such than just only a possibility to fly it.

From a complete platform perspective CEII doesn't bring anything. When in a mood for a free flight or aerobatics, L-39, Spit, Mustang and many other from DCS are more than suited for that job but at the same time they can be added to any combat mission - not only for benefit of those that do fly them but also for others flying different planes in the same mission.

And this happens when clearly the demand for combat modules is much higher than the capacity. The argument of test-bed is absolutely not convincing. Any (and I can't stress is enough - any!) complete project and further maintenance are just of a totally different magnitude than a prototype. Finally, other warbirds in DCS had been created without similar ideas.

People come to a specific place because it offers what matches their specific expectations. For DCS it’s obviously because it's a combat sim and may feel frustrated as instead of the content they strive for they'll just get something for which they would be in totally different place to begin with.

I'm not wishing M3 bad. Anyway, lets wait and see but anyone should be able to easily foresee that after the dust falls down this sub forum will once again become mostly quiet.

And while on that topic, bye :noexpression: !

29.99 $ - for sure it might have pre-order sale and after release sales but still... 30$ could be a wall to tall to climb for many... especial new people.

Not obliged (?) to buy but the Mig21 is "obliged" to wait.

Other than that... is a bit of a gamble on new customers rather than old customers.

Ok, do u admire a hot dog seller in the same way ? or a burger shop owner ? nothing else this is : they produce something, people buy or not. if they would be such specialists, they would work in a design company of huge enterprises... but thats not the question, but this CHEATING is. of course they knew, that most people did not wait for such a flying farmers spray gun... of course the pushed the hype by prupose that high and then sitting in their corner and laughing to death, about those people, who pay and place the butter on their toast. i would say : thats a most ugly behaviour.

Hmm, you think that barbie plane will be a reason to start with DCS ? i would not say, but may be such actions will give reasons to END it

I will buy it. The first DCS biplane. Also if it helps them to keep going and finish the MiG I'm all for it. I imagine they are probably waiting for the dust to settle with 2.5 before finishing the MiG and corsair. Having to work through new bugs every time a patch is released on three versions probably uses up a lot of time.

I'm actually thrilled about this release and seriously hope it's not a joke! :) I've wanted to build and fly this aerobatic plane since I was a kid in the 80s. It's basically a very thorough kit-built, slightly lesser Pitts.

Now I can fly it in DCS, even if I never quite get it together enough in the real world to build one. And I'm one of those DCS users that mostly just flies around, enjoying the excellent flight modelling, sound, and scenery. I can't wait! Thanks!
