SAM type and location for PG

This is a good place to start:

I've had a global SAM site overlay on Google Earth for several years, but I don't remember where I got it at the moment. If I can find the source, I'll post it, or just post locations of what's active RW within the PG map boundaries.

I've used information from the thread to create a template mission. Obviously it's just a draft, actually a first one. The goal is to extend the template. Next step will be including real squadrons.

Known Issues:

- Practically no units for UAE. US units used instead

- No Sa-2 for Iran. Russia units used instead

- No Sa-5. Sa-10 used instead.

- Al Shawamekh HAWK location not represented in DCS map. Real location replaced with buildings.

- Al Dhafra AB HAWK Site - East of AB. Same issue as above.

All comments and suggestions are more than welcome

As far as I can tell, all Iranian squadrons are based north of the map we have. Most of the UAE AF is based inside the map we have, but some are to the south. I'd also love a list of NATO squadrons in the area and their bases. I couldn't find anything specific.

Sorry about the lack of sources. It was a recon session on Google, and I didn't bookmark anything properly.

Hi, a question, but do the hawks work? I could not get them to shoot unlike the Russian sam : Huh:
