Greyman
Given that the pilot has deployed it to defend his aircraft and himself and is very likely to be concentrating hard on that, I'd guess that it would be most likely to follow a preprogrammed path, to negate the need for manual control. Especially if the aircraft is able to launch multiple TALDs.
winchesterdelta1
I heard it might also burns the chips before impact. Seems logical to do. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
Freeroamer
So would it be pre-programmed? Or would it be something like the RB04s on the Viggen, where you can set headings and distances?
Kapsu
Thats not the in-game menu it's a video graphic Same thing on the in-game menu and mission editor, no a2a weapons on inner wing pylons. 14:50 on this stream for example. Vitormouraa
It actually can... but you can only mount TALDs on the BRU-42 TER. IMHO the VER is so much better, yes, you'd carry 2 instead of 3, but it's not draggy as the TER. Hornet itself is already pretty draggy. Mounting a TER with 3 bombs on it wouldn't be interesting (although it's not an option). But you'll have MER and VER. Which is pretty cool too! FLCV
BRU-41 Does anybody know if they removed the BRU-41 carrying Mk-82s from the possible loadouts of the Hornet? Because on some early screenshots and videos I saw it carrying mk-82s on that MER, and now in the new videos it can seemingly only be equiped with BDU-33s :pilotfly:

I think they even broke the carrier between versions, nothing odd for a dev build. Vitormouraa
It CAN, but the only weapon you can mount on the BRU-42 is the AGM-141 TALD. SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com

crab
Been in the boat business for 35 years, I find in a world of people who can't tell left from right that port and starboard are a whole new level of facepalm. The fellow I was asking is also a boat person so I don't question whether he knows which is the pointy end, sometimes however port or starboard are used absolutely on objects which are set on the boat in various orientations which can themselves alone have a port and starboard side. It wouldn't make sense here but I wanted to verify.
