How can I call AWACS?

Set one of the default radio channels to the AWACS's frequency (or set the AWACS to your frequency) in the mission editor and tune to that channel for vectors, etc. i.e.

As channel '0' is usually for the flight/ai wingman and I fly with a real player (on skype/teamspeak), we'll set that to receive vectors to target in an air to air intercept mission. We could also reassign a unused ATC channel but using Channel '0' works for us.

I set a AWACS with L-39 channel00 frequency by default also set to the AWACS. Then I set EWR with L-39 channel01 default frequency also as well for the EWR. I cold start and nothing. I set Channel00 and channel01 and nothing, non responses.

To find the mistake, try the following.

1. Create a new mission, set a L-39 where you want (ramp, in the air).

2. Set a A-50 or E-3 in the air and give it a few waypoints to fly. Use a high altitude, 24.000 feet with 450 knots for example.

3. The western E-3 uses normally 251.00 UHF as default radio frequency. Set this frequency as default frequency at any channel in you L-39.

4. Start the mission and your aircraft.

5. Set the radio channel, press "#" (or your assigned radio key) and check the UHF radio in the right, upper corner.

Ok here what I made.

Red side: L-39 (player) with Channel00: 124, Channel01: 251. EWR (trigger frequency at 124). AWACS at 4500m (default frequency 251).

Blue side: a couple of transport aircrafts head on at 150 km distance from AWACS/EWR, 3500m altitude.

After this I got EWR response setting Channel00 124 AM.

When I change to AWACS Channel01 251 AM, I never get radio response.

ok here what happen.

If I edit Channel 01 to 251 frequency, then this is useless to talk with AWACS. BUT... if I change to the preset Channel 17 by default with 251, then I get AWACS communication.

very weird. This is a bug or a kind of solution?
