Any plans to add the northern part of the map? I have seen another server running a version of the mission there?

The mission is too large and complex to have both areas running on the same server. Also we use the northern area as part of our weekend missions. But we could set the server up to alternate the missions if the community agrees.

Which is fine :) but in my sense the southern part is alot more fun! im mostly missing ILS and features on most of the runways used for the mirage in the north version.

joined the server Yesterday, while start up the Viggen, a blue tank in front of me killed me instantly. i tryd again with another Viggen and got killd also.

Some people are arse holes. If you know the name of the player who was in the tank that would be very helpful in deciding a fitting punishment.

Tried it tonight for the first time with a F-86 but very frustrating. The Briefing says to move away from the field then use F10 on comms menu to request a mission but once I took off I no longer got any response when I requested the comms menu even though it had worked fine on the ground.

I then tried a Spit instead but could not get a comms menu up at all even sitting on the apron. Also, no point telling a Spit pilot to tune to 133 to get the tower when there is no way to tune the radio. The mission creator is supposed to set the frequencies for each of the buttons and specify which is which in the briefing.

I am probably being stupid but the description keeps mentioning custom kneeboards. Where do I find them?

I understand your frustration. It's my fault for not mentioning that some planes on the server are just there as a 'novelty' and don't have any real CAP/CAS tasking since it would be pretty unbalanced if you're in a M2000C and your air targets are MiG-15s. It was in the works and we had plans to make a Cold War era area so that mig15 and sabre pilots would have something to enduldge in.

Currently only modern jets trigger missions and events. There is a very early WIP WW2 area with working missions and events, which will be similar to how we plan to do Cold War jets. If you have any suggestions for these kinds of missions feel free to let us know :)

I just tested out the 1.5 mission. The level of incompetence of the people flying there is what makes the mission no fun. For me being more advanced with the A10c the missions are also too easy.

It is a great concept and I'll fly there once in a while. Maybe take new people there to help train them. Though too many people just running into one objective and firing off 6 mavericks at anything they can see.

Very few use simple radio so calling out what you're going to hit and where you're coming in from is impossible.

I went to a really far objective that no one could be bothered with hitting. I killed a lot of stuff then shot down an AI SU-34 with my A10c. It was decent. Kept me entertained.

As with most games, maps , public stuff. The players kill the fun. They were so obsessed with killing stuff they let a T90 and AAA roll onto the main airbase where it was spawn killing everything. I was landed in a field after my air to air engagement. Just laughed and then the server froze or the game froze and crashed.

Yeah, it's going to be a mixed bag generally and I understand that the missions are quite easy at this point. Before, DCS MP had a bug with moving AI that are dynamically generated causing crashes. Balance is something that we tackle on a day to day basis, and will continue to work on. For the more experienced attack jet pilots, they are pretty simple, we'll be working on this.

This is just something that happens with a lot of the general population just wanting to go out there to lob off every single missile, I have some ideas that I want to work out soon to avoid this kind of gameplay.

It's very hard to encourage radio and comms usage, more so GOOD and accurate comms. That's just the nature of these kinds of servers.

Our Squadron does 3-4 huge sorties per week, and we are all synced up on SRS, fly about 4 flights of CAP and CAS. Great comms, great pilots, all on the server, but away from the general public AO. These missions are very challenging and require everyone to fully focus on their task. We do detailed briefings, debriefs and log all of our mission op results. Join us on discord or send me a PM if you are interested in this. It's much better to fly on our server with a group, or even a wingman or two.

Additionally, your feedback is quite helpful, since we want all levels of skill in DCS to enjoy TTI.

One way to have better ops for solo attack jets, is to move more missions further away, this would help to discourage random people lobbing 20 AGMs at a target area you are working on.

The invasion script was one of the most fun events we had, but it seems that it's getting a bit too overwhelming for players as well as the server performance.

DCS MP is great, but the platform itself is very weak and can't handle some of the great missions that we design.

Optimization and work-arounds are something we are constantly looking into.

Again, thanks for the feedback, I'll take another look at what large random triggered events are causing issues. Server crashes happen to all MP servers on occasion, we are all praying and hoping for a good net client someday... Until then, all we can do is continue to do our best optimizing via the ME and lua script. The community has been helpful with feedback and help with scripting.

Everything going on is very much under the microscope and can only get better from here.

Thanks for playing on the server and providing some helpful feedback. I hope that you can take some time to introduce yourself to our squadron if you have the time or interest.

Hey guys, love the servers. Been playing the missions for a while. I'm sure this has been asked before, so my apologies in advance. But do you have any plans to create a WW2 themed TTI Mission on the Normandy map? It would be fun to have bomber escort missions, strafing missions and CAP against the older units. Thanks guys and keep up the great work.

On the nevada server, I ended up using CA to clear out those rampaging T90s. There were defensive emplacements at nellis, but their status is on Hold so they won't actually do anything. Using CA I can change their tasking which is what I did to clear the base.

Just wanted to add, once that was done I had a real nice time on the nevada TTI tonight. There are still these random lag spikes that can do anything from freeze you for a few seconds to out right kill or disconnect you. Don't know what that's about and it seems pretty random. When it's all running smoothly though, it's a real joy in 2.1.

ATTENTION PLEASE

If you have tried this server or still are thinking about giving it a shot go ahead and jump on in. 1.5 server and 2.1 server have had some major overhauls. Instead of map icons showing you now have to use the radio F10 menu to find grid and nearest city of targets. Teamwork is key and objectives are more difficult for ground pounders.

I've been included in the development of the ground missions. 2.1 has been completely overhauled. 1.5 has some minor tweaks. I'm hoping to re create those ground missions soon! Jump on in and enjoy.

Twice now on the NEvada server, since the last changes, when I go to f10 map and then find the grid location of where the ground targets should be, I try to put a marker in that area so I can get heading etc and keep a reference, the server disconnects me and it appears that the server crashes.

I'm not sure when you were on. 2.1 is our test server at the moment. It happened to me as well. Though a couple times yesterday we pushed some updates to the server that required manual restarts.

EDIT: Deadly just told me a small 2.1 patch fixed the crashing issue. It was an ED problem not us.
