thanks so much for this. I have a somewhat unrelated question to the mission. Do you have the screenshot used for the promo pic but without the text? I'd love to use that as a wallpaper haha

Hi Sceptre,

PM me your email address and I can provide the clean image.

Suntsag,

I downloaded your mission but I couldn't figure how to open or install it. The download gave me several options I am unfamiliar with.

Can you post some instructions (Prestwick For Dummies)?

Thanks.

Hi HotTom,

Complete the download and once you have extracted all the items you will have a folder named "The Prestwick Run"

Contained within that folder are eight .miz files, listed as follows:

(SPCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = Single Player clipped wing version

(SP) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = Single Player eliptical wing version

(4PCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 4 Player clipped wing version

(4P) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 4 Player eliptical wing version

(3PCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 3 Player clipped wing version

(3P) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 3 Player eliptical wing version

(2PCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 2 Player clipped wing version

(2P) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 2 Player eliptical wing version

Place the .miz file you want to fly into the missions folder found in the following location:

ThisPC/Windows(C:)/Users/Your name/Saved Games/Your version of DCS

This will vary dependant upon which drive your saved games folder resides and the version of DCS you are running.

I have already included a word document that explains the liveries installation in detail. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Okay! Got it! Didn't know what a 7Z file was. Zip file (smacks side of head). Used Cloud Converter to make it into a Rar file and I was in familiar territory.

Thank you!

Seems great so far! you may want to set the sqn & aircraft codes in the mission editor though. Board number entry of CKC011 as an example will give CK squadron code, C-charlie aircraft and MH011 for serial.

WOW nice work! beauty radio and ambiance there, i could not save two bombers :( , gonna try again. Just a question, i cant set comms once im in the air but in ground have no problem, have to set something outside?

Hi borisbarzotto,

On the ground you have the following keybind commands:

COMM Communication Menu = \

For comms in the air you need the following keybind commands:

COMM Push to Talk = RAlt + \

Cheers.

Hi dave-uk,

Nothing more is required. It could possibly be that your assets pack has not activated in the module manager.

If you check that the "WWII Assets Pack" has the green button within the slider under "Installed" in the Module Manger. Let me know how you get on. Cheers.

Good morning.

I've checked and in the modules installed i have the Normandy map in the terrain section. I've removed it using the bin, then reinstalled it but still not there. Screen shot of the bought module. Also there no WWII asset pack grayed out on the bottom of the main page

What a fantastic mission, thanks Naked. Shot down 2 bogeys before i blacked out and crashed. But to be fair it did take me a dozen goes to take off, trying to keep the Spitfire on the runway was a challenge, but i thoroughly enjoyed it
