A great addition to an AWSOME collection.

Has anyone got the round green radar working yet?

If so, please share how you did this.

First of all Capt Zeen thanks so much for your work on this profile! It looks great!

Can someone help me a bit with this? I am trying to export my Radar from the F-15C in 1.5. I have a 3840x2160 main monitor and a 1680x1050 monitor below for Helios(have a new 1920x1080 touchscreen on the way).

I thought I was doing this correctly and was trying to just modify the file that Capt Zeen has with his profile but that isn't working. If I can just get the radar to show on my second monitor I can dial in the coordinates but it isn't showing at all... Any ideas?

Here is the script:

_ = function(p) return p; end;

name = _('2_monitors_F-15C');

Description = 'Right MFCD on the right and camera on the center'

--TOTAL DEL VIEWPORT

Viewports =

{

Center =

{

x = 0;

y = 0;

width = 3840;

height = 2160;

viewDx = 0;

viewDy = 0;

aspect = 16/9;

}

}

--radar F-15C

Right_MFCD =

{

x = 3840;

y = 40;

width = 318;

height = 318;

}

UIMainView = Viewports.Center

I have the resolution of my display at 5520x2160 in DCS

Thanks!

Are you sure that your radar Y is correct (is your smaller monitor aligned up or down compared to bigger screen. If aligned down the Y must be something like this (2160-1050=1110-> 1110+40=1150)

--radar F-15C

Right_MFCD =

{

x = 3840;

y = 1150;

width = 318;

height = 318;

Just my five cents..:)

OK got the profile and radar working great. Thank you for the help!...now just trying to get the MFCD_FC3 working to use the MFCD...got it working great but can't get it resized to set under the helios profile.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Here is the text:

rem start javaw -Djava.library.path=lib -jar lib/MFC_FC3_v1.1.jar -noborders -useMFD1 -useMFD2 -xy1920,610 -s512 -blue -pagesADI,NAV,ENG

If I've interpretted the little I could find on this correctly the s512 is the size of the box? Correct? If that's the case when I modify it in Notepad and save it I get no difference tin the size. Any help would be MAJORLY Appreciated!!!! Thanks!

The instrument I was referring to is the round green one (RWR) situated in the upper right-hand side of the panel. Is this the same one which you have got working?

No I don't believe anyone other than Baker with MFCD in testing(now dead I think) has been able to get the RWR to export. It was built into the profile for the future I believe...

I'm trying to get the MFCD FC3 resized to work in the bottom left if anyone knows how to do it...

ah right... thought so, just thought i'd double-check... re. MFCD (resizing)... if memory serves me right, this is done by editing the config file using notepad++ (i think this caught me out when i did mine... i was editing the wrong line.. the one you need is the one below the example... if this makes sense... may be easier for me to post my config but not at my PC right now...

I would really appreciate you posting it. I am editing the MFCD_FC3.bat file that starts the program in Notepad++...does that sound correct. For instance changing the S value I would think would get it. But it's not changing the size for me.

Hi Greekbull,

Apologies if I've kept you waiting... I wasn't able to look at this any sooner but here is a copy of my MFCD_FC3.bat

As I have been concentrating on other planes, I hadn't realised that I had deleted my original file so I've had to reinstall and config this .bat to get it up and running.

In other words, I can confirm that I have just loaded the F-15C in DCS 1.5 and MFCD_FC3 is running properly on my system.

I hope when you see the edited part of the .bat (Line 5), you'll realise that you may have been trying to edit the wrong line - this is where I made the mistake when I first tried to get it running.

Also, bear in mind the XY co-ords entered are specific to my monitor arrangement which is three monitors grouped into one via AMD eyefinity (5760x1080) for the game plus a 1920x1080 touchscreen which sits precisely to the right of the main 'game' screen (when viewed in windows 'display settings') - therefore total screen res of 7680x1080

Another thought, have you installed a Java runtime environment (JREeight) and if so, have you checked to make sure it is the correct version for your operating system?

Finally, be aware that it might be best to test MFCD_FC3 before running Helios profile, This way you can see if it's running on your touchscreen without running the risk that it might be hidden by the actual Helios profile when that is also running - hope this makes sense.

Cheers for now, let us know how you get on.

Good luck!

I have been trying to figure out how to switch MFCD_FC3 on/off via a toggle switch on my Helios profile. First, I created a desktop shortcut to the batch file and assigned a hotkey to run it. Then I programmed the toggle switch to use the same hotkey in the ON position and to fire F12 in the OFF position. A dry run worked fine but it doesn't work when the game is running. I've also tried a few different idea's but still haven't figured it out yet. Maybe someone reading this will be able to advise?

I see there are comments that you guys are using this with 1.5, but I did not see any comments that this is working with 2.0? I'm very interested in doing so, is it compatible? Thaks

It works fine with 2.0. I have a separate profile for 2.0 that's targeted to 2.0. But other than that it works great.

Would love to see Capt Zeen tackle the Mirage that releases tomorrow! That would be awesome!!!

What I should have asked is how do you have separate profiles for different versions of DCS. The ability to make profiles with TARGETS of different directories does not seem possible. In otherwords, if you have 3 profiles, and you change or create a new profile and target it for say the 1.5 version, all of your profiles will likely change their profile targets, even if you initially had them set for say 1.2 or 2.0.

I know just enough to be dangerous but I believe you point the profile to the game file...I have one profile for 1.5 and one for 2.0 that I labeled as such.

LOL,, I understand what your saying. You have just described the point I was making. You opened 1 of your profiles (or created a new one), and you set the target in the shortcut properties to 2.0, and all is well with 2.0,,, now open the other profile for 1.5 and if you find it opens fine when running 1.5, then you sir are fortunate. There is another thread I have running discussing this, the conclusion that all the other profiles change their targets without you doing so is likely related to the registry.
