metalnwood
Oh, too bad, those settings are perfectly fine - I was hoping there would be something strange as I see you had two monitors I was thinking you may have been trying to span them with fullscreen on or some resolution setting that also crashes the game when you run it in fullscreen mode. Although your setting show me that it's not what I was thinking, do you get different results when turning off full screen?
metalnwood
I will just add that a Friend recently went from an 8500 to a i7 sandy bridge and saw his frames go from around 20 with lower settings to ~70 with high on a 7970 - food for thought :)

Emmer
Experiencing the same problem except its AppHangB1. Can open the loading menu, mission editor etc goes fine. After i hit Fly, the program loads ; till halfway and it does not continue. The blue loadbar hangs. Before all was fine with no problems.AppHangB1 occurs after hitting ctrl+alt+delete entering the taskmanager. I cant get the simulator running. Any ideas what to do? Lange_666
Emmer, what is the RAM size in your system? @retix11: That 4GB could be the culprit of your problem. Can't directly point to the thread but someone posted a nice overview recently on the RAM usage and on how that usage could cause hang-ups depending on what other stuff you have installed and on how big your video ram is. If i'll find it, i'll link it it... Edited January 5, 2013 by Lange_666 Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Emmer
8 Ghz, DDR-3 , 1333 mHz Gskill. Dual Channel. Right, installed DCS World and all modules fresh again. All works now. Also i saw i had version 1.2.1 installed instead of 1.2.2. All modules were 1.2.2. That could caused the problem i encountered. Not sure. So far , so good;keeping those fingers crossed.............:) Edited January 5, 2013 by Emmer [sIGPIC]http://www.fulltimepilots.nl/Sigs/LLTM2014.jpg[/sIGPIC] http://www.fulltimepilots.nl

SkateZilla
8 Ghz, DDR-3 , 1333 mHz Gskill. Dual Channel. Right, installed DCS World and all modules fresh again. All works now. Also i saw i had version 1.2.1 installed instead of 1.2.2. All modules were 1.2.2. That could caused the problem i encountered. Not sure. So far , so good;keeping those fingers crossed.............:) Having 1.2.2 Modules installed on top of 1.2.1 causes this. 99% of the Time, The Problem as follows: When I Click FLY, the game closes the GUI process, brings forward launcher process, puts splash screen on, then full screen loading w/ progress bar, which crashes out, then you get a flicker or black screen quickly to a Loading screen with the Flyby P-51 Audio Loop, then back to the Menu. When this occurs it's usually because: A. Version Conflict with a Module (You install DCSW 1.2.1 then 1.2.2 Modules on top of it without allowing DCSW to update first, and vise Versa). B. Erroneous Syntax in Module or Modified LUA Files. (you'd be surprised how much damage a misplaced "{" can do.) C. Incorrectly Setup modules (ie if you modify the WunderLuft Template to call for files, arguments, systems or Scripts that arent thereor do not exist within the engine.) D. You do no have sufficient User Permissions. (only if you're not running as a Admin). E. You do not have sufficient 32-Bit Addresses (only if you have 32bit Windows and lots of hardware) The First 3 are easily Diagnosed by looking in the DCS.log LOG. ilikepie
Whens that out mate? not sure. but heres the latest goss. 1.2.3 Update After implementing further changes / improvements to 1.2.3 network play, we have solved several issues; however some instability persists (it seems particularly with the FC3 aircraft). The team will now evaluate this weekend's test results and prepare a new internal test version later in the week. Like you all, we hope the next build will provided the network stability we all desire. __________________ Action After Contemplation
