Noob question:

how to access the ware/mesh layer within the template?

Many thanks

Hi Slegawsky

The wire Mesh layer is the very first layer named UV #1

the ware layers are in the Color layer and are named DIRT(with sub layers) and Bolts_Screws_Rivets(with sub layers)

Hope this helps

Cheers

According to the bibliography consulted, the swastika and the crossings of the upper wings and the fuselage were covered / semi-concealed with paint so that they were not so visible. The result was that in practice the swastika was barely imperceptible, and the crosses were concealed.

Fw-190 A-3s of Turkey's Fifth Fighter Regiment, Eskesehir Airbase

That skin would be the mutt's nuts for some totally fictitious late 40's Hormuz scenarios I've been thinking about, Iran having requested for Turkish COIN assistance up North...

I thought to do something different for this contest than a "usual" camo.

For those who want to do some racing, a fictional "Red Bull" skin.

Hope you like it.

I knew the A2M would be popular(because we want it, hint hint). Mine is based on a historical one. The AI107 was flight lead, Shotai 3, off the Akagi in the first wave against Pearl Harbor. I've also extensively recreated the ID plate from scratch, for this time frame, in era specific kanji, and filled it out with information that this plane could have likely saw. DCS serial/bort numbers are removed.

Of course, A2M's need a green counterpart. As the war progressed, and it was less about pristine candy grey Zeros off proud carriers, and more about desperate island hopping warfare, many carrier planes were hastily painted over. So, instead of the beautiful museum piece green Zeroes we're used to seeing, I recreated what a late-war makeshift field Zero would look like. This is fictional, in that it lacks an exact model or reference, except old reports.

Wasn't sure how many entries allowed, but I do love the Anton and just wanted more skins for it. So, I also made an Afrika front one with desert spots based on a JG27 bf-109 camouflage. I prefer PG map missions, and wanted something to use there. It's kind of neat how effective it actually turned out.

Contest Submission for "White 9" 1./NJGr. 10, Werneuchen, 1944

My contest entry (I know it's last minute. Apologies). I am pleased to present.

x9SXPkB.jpg

FW-190 A8/R-11 Nightfighter 1./NJGr 10 "White 9" Flown by Gunter Migge

LIVERY LOCATED HERE - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ohGwVZ18aPH0rMSJZM6B3JMx6q9jqZkL/view?usp=sharing

History: This unit could hardly be characterized as successful since during its 10 months of existence it managed to chalk-up only 18 confirmed victories. The most successful pilots where the Gruppenkommandeur Major Rudolf Schönert and the Staffelkapitän of 1./JGr. 10 Hptm. Friedrich-Karl Müller, both with three victories each. Günter Migge, who achieved his first five abschüssen with JG 300, did not score any more night kills until he moved on to 1./NJG 11, where he was able to score his sixth and final victory of the war. The (hand-painted re-creation) inscription under the Wild Boar emblem reads "Kognak pumpe", Migge's favorite alcohol brand.

The livery is very weathered to stay faithful to the reference photo, and many hours were put into matching the historical bird down to unhealthy levels. Enjoy!

I've done another one skin of III/JG54 with white stripe which I wrote about in this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4202411&postcount=107

This camouflage is different from the previous one of colours (RLM 75/83 instead 81/82) and yellow spinner as second sign of Jg54.

Bort and serial number are changeable.
