This is the issue w/ Doing the F-16C,

Because everyone wants specific things that are part of an Upgrade Program or Export Program to make it "their country's F-16C".

It don't matter what block ED Settles on, someone is gonna be upset.

Even is it's a USAF Block 40, Everyone is gonna want block 50 Features... etc..

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9)

3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

I hope they dont have research delays like the Hornet.
I'm sure they will. It can be said for certain though that the lessons and technology learned from the Hornet development will largely transfer over to the F-16. The question is how much.

No.

If I had to bet I'd say it will be a contemporary of the F-18C being modeled...Block 40 Block 50 Harm Shooter. However, There is a TON of information available about the MLU program...That might play into things.

I know that the choice of F-16C is final. I understand I love the F-16. But why not the D variant? I would've chosen that over the C at any point and time. :(

...

Keep in mind that most D models are made for training. So MFD/CMFD just mirror each other. Also, many lack the Aft Seat HUD Monitor (ASHM)

So no HUD information unless you use one of only two MFD/CMFD.

Finally, D models carry less fuel that C models.

AFAIK, the only "multicrew" F-16 ( as in both pilots can use different MFD/CMFD and work together to strike a target) is the F-16I Block 52+ and Singapore block 52+. The easiest way to identify these are looking for the large bulges on the nose.

I'm curious why? As fR as I know D models are just trainers. There is no operational use for the GIB.

(And they were a PITA to refuel!)

Can't all blocks past and including 30 use the HARM?

It depends. For example USAF, Block 30/32 could carry the AGM-88 but not the AN/ASQ-213. Block 50/52 could carry both and now Block 40/42 can also carry both after the CCIP upgrade.

Other countries have different capabilities.

Do you want to look down all the time?

Not all A, but I would not mind it and it would be interesting since I don't think nobody ever fully model one.

I am also curious.

Like that isnt an issue for developer working any aircraft? Same thing happens with just about any aircraft, as such is not unique to the F16 as a platform. Some people want the version that thier country specifically uses.

I'll allow your crazy video posting, cuz I know your excited, but try and keep it to the version ED is talking about, I know we only know that its a C, so try and keep it in that range :) You can post all others to your General F-16 love thread ;)

The F16-A could be a great mod idea using the A10-A FC3 avionics.

Im wondering when this module could eventually be announced.

Could be after all the content of the Hornet is included? Or other work have to be done before (maps maybe) ?

2.5 is almost "stable" so they are focusing on maps , environment ( carriers , ATC , etc ) and aircrafts.

Could it be 2019? Am I too optimistic?
