Breaking the sound barrier vapor cones

Recommended Posts

There has to be posts on this from the beginning of DCS time.

However, I wish to state that it would be nice to have vapor clouds around the aircraft when we pass the sound barrier. Looking out the cockpit and seeing thick clouds. And seeing other AI and pilots in MP go from not so visible to, oh, there they are.

I think this would be a good feature. Maybe it comes with a new remake of cloud systems that ED has said is coming... ? Hopeful...

in addition to the ripple of the sound wall, other effects should be added when the fighter flies low near the sea creates ripple effect of the sea near the ground creates dust and smoke effect.

can you answer this question?

what is the speed record of a low altitude fighter?

The vapor cone has nothing to do with ''breaking the sound barrier'' specifically, that's why you don't see it consistently, and why even aircraft below the speed of sound generate them. The video posted by Xilon even specifically says they are related to humidity in the local air. Up off the deck you won't have stuff like that.
