Has anyone try it in MP. I can't contact to it with radio.

Yes, no problem here with the tanker.

According to the Lua files, it has 3x the amount of fuel vs kc-130! Nice.

Anyone test the boom in a F-15 to see if it works? I don't fly the F15 plane, just curious.

From previous discussion is seems that DCS currently doesn't allow to put the 2 different refuelling system on the same tanker.

That doesn't stop the AI from trying though :), pics to come later. Which brings me to a bug I found (yes I know it's still WIP) The first two aircraft in an AI flight of four seem to do OK when connecting to the baskets(hornets), but any subsequent aircraft after the first two (or the first aircraft using the mirage in my test) will try to refuel using the boom which ultimately ends bad for the remaining aircraft :D

Correction: I was able to get all four Hornets in the flight to refuel successfully but the last two Mirages still want to use the boom.

Hi,

Just tried two AI Mirage 2000 for refuelling. Each aircrafts are going to the refueller correctly, but the final position suffer a slight displacement on the right on each refuelling station.

The M2K is currently refuelling on the attached screenshot.

So, how were you able to make it fly faster? On my side, even if in the ME i set it to 500 KTS, in game it still goes the same speed as the KC-130, around 250ish IAS. In otehr words, the KC-130 in ME is set to 336 KTS, in game from F2 menu it shows 252 IAS, as the KC-135 MPRS is set in ME to 500 KTS and in game it shows 256 IAS. So basicly it doesn'T fly any faster than the KC-130, unless i'm misssing something here.

Next time please, for your screenshot, press CTRL-Y while being on the tanker, it show the menu bar at the bottom with the aircraft's info for us as for now the screenshot shows nothing besides you were able to connect to a basket :)

Sounds like you haven't changed the orbit speed value then

I can confirm the first refueling works as advertised, but the next AI flight has an issue with the right wing.

My flight of F18s refueled, then Harriers came. I broke off to engage an SA6 site. Came back and the harriers were still there. Presumably -1 was on the observing position and -2 was still trying, about 30k higher than the tanker itself.

Used the new KC-135 the first time.

Thank you Razbam, looks really great and was a joy to refuel with the Mirage 2000!

Just two questions from my side:

1: Would it be possible to deploy the right drogue first, as it would be in real life?

2: Sorry, have not tested it, but are there any lights at the drogue for night refueling like they are IRL?

All info from NATOS ATP-56 (last version I found is from Jannuary 2012):

And this pic I found on the net:

attachment.php?attachmentid=203487&d=1548914119

Did yesterday a night refueling with the 135. RAZBAM, please, at least dim the position lights a little bit, they are very bright in the night and hurt in my eyes.

At least, this was my, and the feeling from my wingman.

And here we go for the procedure:

attachment.php?attachmentid=203493&d=1548915323

attachment.php?attachmentid=203494&d=1548915323

I'm not sure where to adress all this A-A refueling "issues".

Also the whole radio procedure would need a rework...

However, since both two drogue tankers are done by Razbam, and the lightening of the drogue is a modelling thing, I would adress at least those two things to Razbam.

I know, both tankers a free, and I'm very happy that they made it, but maybe they could still improve them even further.

It makes some sense I suppose - it would leave the port observation side open for someone that came along. As oppose to having to cross under someone on the left side to get to the right side......

We usually just make it so that the Wingman asks for Fuel first and once cleared to Pre-contact Lead will swing to the right and Wing to the left Drogue.

Once Wing gets the "Cleared contact" Message Lead asks for Refuel and thus will get the right Drogue.

It makes absolute sense that the first gets served right side.

As said, as most flights contain of two aircrafts, it prevents to cross the line with an refueling aircraft.

And if there are more then two aircrafts, both should be finished simultaneously, so that the next also dont need to cross.

Also, as far as I know, "pre contact" will be done while in echelon left. When you get the cleared contact from the tanker, you are moving behind and he deploys the drogue. But beside the lighting and right before left, this is a minor issue.
