-More Adjustments to Generic Roughness/Metallic Maps.

 

Once I get the base and the Noise the way I want it, I will go over the Roughness/Metallic Maps and make them unique for each material type (Composite, Glass, Painted Metal, Roughed Metal, Polished Metal, Rubber, Ceramic, Plastic etc).

Just curious, would one or two of these Su-30s be added to the game as AI units with the help of ED? Like the Su-30MKK could be an addition for the China Asset Pack for Deka Ironworks?

Yeah, that'd be nice. In fact, it could replace the current Su-30, as I don't think it's a real variant. By the way, will the asset pack be in an update, or will it need to be purchased?

 

If you're referring to the China asset pack, it's free and keeps updating

I just went through all 25 pages of this thing. Somme of the screenshots... it's hard to tell they're not photographs. Really impressive work, to everyone involved.

You need a license agreement to get that like an AI. I'm sure that if Gizmondo and SkateZilla wanted Deka to have their mod as an AI, they would've asked already. ;)

-Basic Unique Roughness Metallic Maps in Progress w/ Ambient Occlusion (Wings/Fuselage),

Still have to Start the Gear/Other Maps.

 

Adjustments to some meshes, Continued Cleaning of Orphaned Textures.

 

And On top of that, there are several Materials that use the same texture maps but w/ different material editor settings.

 

So I will merge them into a single material and let the Roughness/Metallic Maps do their job

(Separate Materials for Fuselage, Nose, Gun Steel, Probe Steel, and another all use the same Fuselage KillermachineSu30M01 Texture Files).

 

Once Materials are clean, I will convert them to composite, and begin cutting bort meshes, as well as adding the damage maps. damage meshes are going to be deleted as well.

I'm working on cleaning up the model again, mainly the orphaned textures and merging multiple materials that use the same maps into a single material.

 

These 6 Textures are still in the model somewhere, I have gone mesh by mesh, can cannot for the life of me find the reference to them (in Material Editor or UVW Editor).

I think i need to open the original file and try to select by texture again and make a list of where the textures are used.

export it to edm file and fly in the dcsw to find out which part of Su-30sm is missing textures. if you can not find out,then let them be.

 

The Texture files weren't in use on the model, but materials that were no longer being used.

 

I just finished replacing all the Materials w/ new ones w/ new names,

 

From there I went through the slate material editor and deleted maps assigned to the old materials,

 

That Solved the problem,

 

Condensed dozens of materials to 13 from over 24, (Alot of Materials used the same maps but different material settings, as said before, that's not needed w/ Specular/RoughMet Files.

I do know there's at least 2 or 3 in development along side each other due to myself being unavailable for periods at a time.

 

I've resolved all orphaned textures, so now I can start added New Lighting to the model, and then new Borts, then New Damage and Self Illumination layers.

 

 

Now that I have time I'll Get working on this List I Made previously:

-PBR Roughness/Metallic maps w/ A.O.

(Specular Maps are no longer needed w/ 2.5, Converting Everything to PBR w/ A.O. is quicker, easier and more accurate than Specular Maps.)

--- DONE FOR FUSELAGE01, FUSELAGE02, WINGS, GEARSYSTEM, GLASS

 

-Converting all textures to Composite Materials, removing EXTRA Materials.

(Making them layered with Damage/Bort/Bunos Numbers Etc)

 

-Deleting the extra damage meshes, Converting to Current Damage Animation Setup

(Deleting all the Holes/Damage Meshes and converting them to damage volume layer w/ more realistic looking damage)

-- DAMAGE MESHES ARE DELETED, WAITING TILL ALL 3D CHANGES AND NEW MESHES FINISHED TO DO DAMAGE ARGUMENTS

 

-Cutting Meshes for Current Damage Animations.

(Might not need to be done, will evaluate when I remove the old damage meshes).

 

-Cutting Meshes for Current Aircraft Number Animations.

(Removing the Bort Meshes and integrating them into a composite layer w/ the base texture)

 

-Updated Animations to Current DCS Standards,

(A few animations need updated, nothing major)

 

-Updated Connection Points for Pylons, Effects Etc

(Adding some new connectors, and re-vamping current ones, for use w/ new weapons setup etc)

 

-Updated Lighting (Textures and Actual Lights),

(Adding Actual Light Sources, removing the overdone billboard meshes, adding self-illuminating textures)

-- IN PROGRESS

 

-Updated Effects

(Adding Afterburner effects from other projects converted for Eastern Engines and Fuel Burn Color)

(Adding Vapor effects from other projects)

-- AFTERBURNER EFFECTS DONE, NEED TWEAKING FOR BRIGHTNESS

 

-Completely Re-Written LUA Code to today's standard.

(Re-write the LUA from Scratch to avoid old lingering code/valus)

 

-Addon Systems

(Even though these would likely be using FC3/Su-33 Cockpits/Systems, I will be adding a few supplement LUA Scripts to control some animations and Systems better.)

 

-System Setup

(Start From Scratch, Mod Folders to Avoid Extra/Lingering Files Being brought over, Create new UI Elements Etc.)

Why dont you share the screenshots on the screenshot thread (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58337), because they are not related in anyway to the project that Skatezilla and Gizmondo are doing. Also, you have the older version of the model before it was refined by me.
