Jimbolya
Yea - either way i guess i'm good for now. Some of the stuff just sounds so dang cool (i.e. AH-1G). I bought the Ka-50 so i'll be mastering that sucker for a while lol.
GGTharos
The real one does. Since the very first F-15A it has always had terrain mapping capability and A2G capability. F-15C has no have a air to ground radar. wolfstriked
In addition to the aerodynamics model, the flight model includes a new engine model, based on the F100-PW-220 engine with increased dry and afterburner thrust. The model accounts for inverted and negative G flight effects and features a special afterburner component model. The flight model also includes a new fuel system model as well as nosewheel steering and wheel brake component models. Special attention was paid to accurately recreate the design of the F-15C flight control system, including Pitch Ratio control adjusted for airspeed and altitude, Aileron/Rudder Interconnect (ARI), Control Augmentation System (CAS), Attitude and Altitude autopilots, and the Pitch Trim Compensator (PTC). The new model significantly improves the entire flying experience, making special flight conditions like air to air refueling, landing, and edge of the envelope flying far more dynamic, exciting, and even more challenging. Straight and level flight no longer feels like “flying on rails” while maneuvering flight provides a sensation of the power and control in your hands. Being a FM nut the above post just stirs my flight sim buttons and is what I look most forward to.I fly the A10c and wonder if,since this is a DCS plane, will ED be able to incorporate some of the new "models" into their previous released planes. Not the aerodynamic model of the plane but the nosewheel steering and wheel brake component models. If you are referring to the FC3 AC - IIRC it was said some time ago that those are limited by their SFM. More realistic steering characteristics and differential wheel brakes require AFM. Just find that the braking model feels off to me BUT I also just noticed something right now. When I set a rotary on my joystick to the brakes I can now brake nice and smooth with control of the skidding around on runway. And also just now it hit me that since I usually brake with a single keypress that the key = full on brakes.I do understand this thinking since its possible that the plane will land on very short runway but feel that threshold braking is pretty easy in real life and so pilots will know to ease off slightly when slides are occurring. Turn on Anti-Skid Dont use Nose wheel steering above 50 knots (User preference), Anything over 50 I leave NWS Off and use Rudders, once Im slot enough I enable NWS and use small corrections with either pedal inputs or brake slightly less on one side to adjust course. Thanks,I just tried your suggestion of NWS under 50 and it actually helps.:megalol:As for using differential braking....I noticed a post where many where having a hard time with this and wonder why its even used when landing?Isn't that the reason for NWS? joey45
Diff braking is used for taxing... ONLY The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
