I worked for him for 10 years, setting up, Lighting! and filming his shows. Standing in the middle of a finale as it is going off is as close to mortar fire you can get without actually shooting a mortar! We would shoot 12 inch shells from Stage Fort Park over the harbor. I would not stand near those...... I filmed, edited and produced this video. I have some pics of the mortar racks set up and crew somewhere..........Will post them when I find them.
