DCS : F4U-1 Corsair

I would buy every WWII Pacific theater plane and Map. Nothing touches WWII in the Pacific for Carrier Ops. Of course I grew up watching Black Sheep Squadron (VMF-214), so the Powerful F4U Corsair has always been a favorite!

Maybe someone can make a nice T-6 Texan faked up to look like a Zero for us too!!

will be the first radial engine in DCSW!

as Leatherneck news has said..... New or unique methods of propulsion or force distribution

Not unless it beats the already in development Jug out, which I highly doubt.

Modules - Damn near all of them (no Christian Eagle or Yak)

System - i7-12700K, 64Gig DDR4 3200 RAM, RTX-3080, 3 32" monitors at 5760 x 1080, default settings of High (minor tweaks)

This is nice, but if you want to learn something, I prefer this:

Every M3 module is using default sound. Have no hopes.

That sounds very disappointing...

Let's hope that will change. The Fighter Collection owns a Corsair and as ED's parent company should be willing to help, thus recording authentic sounds shouldn't be out of question.

To get a sound recording is not the problem. There are a many CEII out there and Mig-21s.

Yet, the sound on this modules is default.

Lazy as ****, or whatever?!

Still default sound, and the rest of the 3d party devs try to not use default sounds!

Yeah Im an idiot sure!

Let the white knights rain down on me! Blasphemy!!

Just stating it as it is. Default sound is default...

So why would Corsair be any different from Mig-21 and CEII?

Bummer.....

Actually, as far as i am aware the fighter collection at duxford does not own the Corsair but instead a private owner does however i could be wrong.

I make that observation as the last time i saw it was in the private hanger that they also use as part of the museum and if i recall is connected to the conservation part.

They might own it and just keep it there as it does fly and i have seen it do so (as well as two spitfires one of which i got to fly formation with while in a Harvard)

They also have a PBY Catalina painted in white which looks beautiful, was doing taxi runs the day before an airshow, hope that it still flys.

edit: they do own it http://fighter-collection.com/cft/tfc-aircraft-directory/ its a goodyear fg 1d
