Landing Light Clipped off

Here's a pic of the landing light showing it not shining as it should, the end of it clipped off. Taxi lights work like expected. This was not the case before this most recent beta update.

Hi

 

Can you attach a track replay showing the location.

 

Also what shadows setting do you have, flat shadows can produce this effect sometimes.

 

This is not exclusive to the viper so I will move to object errors.

Let me re-run this mission tonight when I get back in and I will attach a trk file for you as well as include settings. I do believe I use flat shadows, yes.

Thanks, if it is flat shadows I believe it is a limitation of using this setting.

I can report that yesterday's update has corrected the clipping. I have not tested it with the update that came out today. Thank you.

This issue was not present prior to 2.5.6 with the settings that were used in 2.5.5 . I can also confirm, this is an issue. VR user.

Default terrain shadows and medium shadows. VR user. Can confirm the issue.

Are you using the same build we are, or are you using a dev build? Just curious if this might be the difference - as everyone I have asked online is reporting the same thing (2.5.6), and clearing 30 people I have asked. 30/30. I have disabled track file writing on my DCS, so not of assistance in that area.

I have to test in open beta to reproduce, I then test in the dev version to reproduce.

 

then I report, the dev will try to fix the problem

 

Then I test in Dev version to verify any fix, then it gets merged, then I test in our release candidate to verify again.

 

then it gets pushed to public.

 

Hope you get the idea :)

Works OK for me, latest Open Beta 2.5.6.43931. I have Terrain shadows to Default.

Lights are always clipped in the eye furthest away from the light source.

 

Open Beta 2.5.6.43931

 

Interesting point of note for testing. Typically when taking screenshots when in VR, I only get the left eye, but I managed to get these screenshots by launching DCS with Skate Zilla's tool and forcing VR on when my VR headset was powered off. It's the same result as shown in the screenshots regardless of if I'm actually looking through my VR headset, or just forcing VR on and can see both eyes rendered on the screen.

@nzteddyIf your issue doesn't affect the F-16, you should open a new thread and post a screenshot of your issue alon with a track.

 

As for the F-16 issue, I don't see it from my end:
