irfanahmed1979
Hi, I tried the taxi mission in the training section for the Sabre Jet. The Humvee or jeep that I'm supposed to follow, starts moving and I taxi behind it, however it soon takes a U-turn and goes back very quickly. If I stop taxiing it tries to come back at a high speed and rams straight into my jet. Is this because I'm taxiing too fast or something else? What is the right taxiing speed? Rudel_chw
That happens if you taxi too slow and let the Humvee get away too far from you. irfanahmed1979
In the mission the instructor says something about catching the nose wheel with the pedals and that you can't do that beyond 21 degrees. I toggled off the simple nose wheel steering option and did not see any difference in the handling of the nose wheel system. legearre
There's not a lot more to say on the subject, honestly. Continue to play with it, and with experience, you'll get better. When you're making a tight turn, you do need to catch the nose, and start countering before you reach the direction you want to go.
