Only got two missions to fly then campaign generator failed to generate next mission after 50 tries and asked me to begin a new one. Its too bad because I actually like it more than I thought I would.

I'll try to recreate the situation to see what happened

I’m testing a new version now which should be released soon with new loadouts to allow easier missions generations ...

For your problem are you sure there were not a CVN collision ?

I will try to tweak this too to avoid campaign loss when CVN lost for non Hornet and Tomcat campaigns...

Hi I am having a problem with TF-71-80's Tomcat Supercarrier campaign. I've tried the first mission twice and both times when I land on the carrier and end the mission I get this error.

https://imgur.com/fQXTZLT

I'm having the same issue with both the F-15C campaigns, but with various script errors besides your screen shot example.

One the frequent issues references an invalid syntax in the RTBZone1. Whatever the case, the error warnings pop up about once every 5-10 seconds.

Hoping this is a known issue due the latest update and that a fix is on the horizon. Thanks.

I'm flying CV71 and it's great - no probs with implementation in Beta-version. Great are the possibilities to customize the mission like night / day, mission types, skip etc.

One question: the AI wingmen tend to crash because of low fuel before I can return to the carrier and land. Therefore I quit the mission when I hear bingo fuel because I'm afraid I will lose too much A/C in the war. Can you perhaps ignore these kind of crashes when calculating the losses or is it already ignored so that I can return to carrier and land again ;-).

FAQ DCE (Cef & Miguel's version)

Question - 1:

After I stop a mission my game froze: I must use Ctrl+Alt+Suppr to kill DCS process and my campaign mission is not registered by DCS

Response: Please try this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4334808&postcount=1574

Question - 2 :

I have this error window at the end of a mission trying to generate the next one :

DCEerror.png

showthread.php?t=191858&page=5

Bug in the "mission script error" window at the end of the mission

"attempt to index local 'logfile' nil value"

Response : Bug The problem is that the system can't find the path of campaign folder.

There are several reasons for this:

Bug in the "mission script error" window at the end of the mission "attempt to index local 'logfile' nil value"

The system can't find the path of campaign folder.

There are several reasons for this:

A.    Your path in "path.bat/pathSavedGames" is bad.

After the bug, go to the DCS log, and look for a line containing: "pathDCE".It tells you the path DCE is trying to find, based on what you entered in path.bat

B.     You didn't launch the firstmission.bat before you started the campaign.

C.     You play the 2nd mission (created with CampaignMaker info/path): reset the campaign in DCS

D.    /Script/MissionScripting file has not been modified.

·         You have modified the script of DCS World but play on OpenBeta

·         You have modified OpenBeta's Scriptmission but you play on DCS World

                          E. The MissionScripting file has been modified but is not in ANSI or UTF8

Question - 3 :

When I use SEAD missiles then nearly never hit Sam’s radar ? Why ?

Response : Historical use of SEAD missiles showed that they where far less efficient than what we

thought. Human radar operators were often clever enough to avoid destruction. Mbot decided to use a

script to simulate the real effect of SEAD : Suppression of enemy air defenses : so when SAM sites detect

SEAD missiles release they shut down radars to avoid destruction : sometimes missiles have enough datas

to destroy them but it’s far from a 100 percent kill rate. Radars are off so SAMs are suppressed for a

random period of time so you can attack your target. It’s up to you to use them wisely…

We've added a little script for your wingmen to tell you when they are bingoFuel (text only, no voice), which we've set at 25% of the internal full.

in which case, send your wingmen to refuel or land, or all come home.

To be added in the FAQ:

(snip...)

The problem (I think) is that the system can't find the path of campaign folder.

There are several reasons for this:

1-

--a/ befor ScriptsMod.20.37.xx:

===> the path in the camp_init file does not match your configuration

--b/ afterScriptsMod.20.37.xx:

===> your path in "path.bat/pathSavedGames" is bad.

===> and you don't have any path in camp_init file

After the bug, go to the DCS log, and look for a line containing: "pathDCE".

It tells you the path DCE is trying to find, based on what you entered in path.bat

--c/ your installation of the campaign is badly done and does not correspond to the path of camp_init ^^

--d/ you moved the saved game to a different hard drive.

2- you didn't launch the firstmission.bat before you started the campaign.

3- The DCS World OPENBETA/Script/MissionScripting file has not been modified.

4- the MissionScripting file has been modified but is not in ANSI or UTF8

5- etc... ^^

Thanks for the reply Miguel21.

Here's a couple of the common error messages that I get while running the Eagle Over PG campaign:

dA5jUb.png

dA5LeR.png

Since I don't own the entire FC3 module (I just have the standalone F-15C module), I altered the file path in the camp.init.lua to point to the install location directly inside the F-15C DCS root folder. Here's my cam_.init.lua settings:

dA7JdG.png

When I change the MissionScripting.lua to this:

dA7d7f.png

It just reverts back to this, no matter if I make the file Read-Only or not:

dA72e4.png

This is just an example of one of the campaigns. Eagle Over Caucasus gives me the same errors, more or less. Thanks for your help thus far!

Hi

Until we find a way to balance the campaign, I suggest you to disable the Inter and CAP in oob_air_init and then relaunch a campaign via FirsMission.bat so that the changes are taken into account.

To be fair, the 11.07 file you reference came directly from the download link section on the first page of this thread.

I'll add those files to my game build. Could you please update the current release with the the files you provided so others won't run into the same issue as I have? Thanks again!

Well this campaign was not an original one ... only a special command for a player so I was not sure to update it anymore (FC3 planes are not really sexy ;) for me ) but I will try to update it too if you are interested for it :thumbup:I'm ready to release an update version of all over PG campaign but I must wait for a solution for a bug I discovered while testing AI classing bombing habilities ...

Hope it will come soon !

Hello PBO_CeF,

I am trying to play the Mirage over PG campaign version 20.38 but I am having a problem when generating the first mission.

I cannot get a mission generated and it gives the error 'Not enough ready aircraft for all clients'. I let it run and eventually it gave me a mission. However the only mission I got was a Night mission to escort a strike to an EWR site. None other. Oh it is in single player.

When I modified it to only day missions I got no missions at all. After 20 attempts the bat-file stopped. Resetting it back to day and night missions gave the same results as the first try. Oh after the first missions was generated the DOS-box also started showing the take off times for flights of the carriers.

Any help/fix apprectiated. These DCE-campaings are making DCS worth while.

Update: loaded the TF71 Hornet supercarrier campaign and that works just fine.
