I just wanna that i realy do appreciat all the time you are taking for the communauty.

Long time ago, I had my programming hours and I know how it could be a lot of work and any information was important to fix any kind of issues

 

I hope my comments are taken the positive way.

I did not think it would be possible to freeze DCS with a UDP Data Packet.

Hello,

I am a french simmer.

I just discovered the Ikarus software and it seduced me :thumbup:. I have a cockpit of F18 that I operate with the OPENCOCKPIT system with the export script attached. When I run both at the same time I have a conflict and my switches do not work anymore. On the other hand, the exported instruments work despite a loss of FPS of about 30%. I would like to know if there is an opportunity to make the two work together. I am even willing to participate financially if it is to be a personalized work.

@Coolhand, nice cockpit. Actually, that should not be a problem, that both works. This is more a question for McMicha. It just has to be entered correctly in the Export.lua. Unfortunately, no French understand.

Hey guys

 

 

Love the program. A question, I have set up the FA-18C Hornet screen slightly different that is the default in ikarus. How do I keep that setup and get the latest updates without having to redo the screen?

Your *.ikarus file is important to you. There are your settings included. For an update, please replace it with your version.

My Antivirus flagged that download?

 

Eitherway - I have the latest IKARUS installed, I even created a separate version of it and cross checked the newest version to my version. Everything is identical and neither version has the whisky compass working. Everything else works. I'm unsure what to do.

Hardcore Coolhands. Looks fantastic.

 

Does anyone know if there is a way to move or remove the 'X' close buttons that close the whole Ikarus panel down (image below)?

I have 2 for some reason and one is in an annoying position. Perhaps there is another panel loading somehow that I have removed everything from.

Either button exits the Ikarus cockpit.

These parameters are important for the compass. We also found that only recently. With these parameters I tested it yesterday with the Openbeta.

Make the window bigger and move accordingly. I advise against it however.

These Ikarus windows are top most. You can only close it via the 'x'.

The little 'x' bothers you?

 

I have a close button at far top right of my Ikarus region, where it should be and another almost perfectly in the center. With the in-game cockpit behind it and it being along the top border of the lower screen, it's easy to not notice it until TrackIR picks up my head movement and this one little dot not moving is very noticeable compared to it's surrounding and breaks the immersion.

 

It's the little things that ruin a marriage. ;)

I can live with it, but I'm sure there's something I can do so I don't have to.

Cover it with gaffer tape maybe. Gaffer tape fixes everything....

 

This was my first attempt with Ikarus. Not found anything yet, though I'm guessing there is a second panel somewhere that is creating this button.

I am replacing the lower monitor this week so may be able to use the default Ikarus cockpit, or just recreate what I want from scratch for a better outcome than this first attempt.
