Just freakin awesome. Very eager for this one. Part of my Fabulous 5 dream module wish list items. Cannot wait to be able to scratch it off the want list and move it to the have list. Kudos on the progress and thank you for sharing. Now, faster! :smilewink:

Isnt the TGP only used on the av8b+ ?

Operationally that may be the case but both N/A and Plus can use it.

Very impressive list on the armament, did not expect to see sidearm in there.

With the E mav on there, I assume you are also making it yourself and it will be fine? Considering it was at one point in the game and had to be deleted.

The E is in the DCS available weapons list.

N/As do use them operationally. The LITENING pods add a boat load of capability beyond the onboard ARBS/DMT and NAVFLIR. Aside from the sensor capabilities of the pod, the LITENING is what allows the AV-8B to self-lase targets.

Out of curiosity, why no JDAM? Even without the Digitally Improved Triple Ejector Racks, it should still be able to carry them on the standard pylons.

Someone on the team asked the same question and the reply is the same: This list shows the available weapons in DCS. So far JDAMs are not modeled in DCS. Depending on complexity we will see if it is feasible for us to model them and then we will update the weapons list accordingly.

The A-10C has GBU31 and GBU-38 which are JDAM's. Did Harrier use a different one?

I wasn't aware of that. I checked, the GUB-31 is based on the MK-84 so that one is out. The AV-8B does not carry MK-84s. The GBU-38 is based on the MK-82 so that one will be included.

Thanks for the help!

What are the differences between this Free Flying Rockets and the commonly known Folding Fin Rockets?

So far I have only found this on USMC aerial rockets

I found this book about ordnance

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

I'm not Larry, but that is the NAVFLIR.

The lense on the nose is the ARBS (Angle Rate Bombing System), which is also known as the DMT (Dual Mode Tracker).

Thanks,

I downloaded the manual, and it's very interesting. :)

I'll spend some time reading it, the Harrier will make a big difference in DCS, I'm sure, it is an unique aircraft.

LAU-10 (FFR x 4 HE) - ZUNI's, big 5in rockets. Pack a punch, don't get many.

LAU61C (FFR x 19 HE) - 2.75in rockets, Mk 66

LAU61C (FFR x 19 WP) - White Phosphorous version

LAU68D (FFR x 7 Practice) - Training Version

LAU68D (FFR x 7 HE) - 2.75in rockets, Mk 66. Same rocket, different launcher

LAU68D (FFR x 7 WP) - White Phosphorous

LAU68D (FFR x 7 Parachute illumination) - huge bright flare, parachute deploys and slows the fall

LAU68D (FFR x 7 Practice smoke) - Smoke bomb version of the warhead for accuracy training.

FFR = Free Flying Rocket

HE = High Explosive

WP = White Phosphorous

Hey Zeus, since you guys are making a Laser Maverick, any thoughts on APKWS?
