Latest updates committed for release (whenever it happens):

- Removed CCRP Target Cross (Not used by real aircraft).

can you delay that "fix" until we are sure the CCRP drop works as intended?

because without visual feedback which spot on the ground we choose we have no idea if one has simply click the wrong spot on the ground or if CCRP is still inaccurate.

'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.

I'm not sure Zeus intended "no more symbol".

I read just "not the cross one".

Okay folks. The mods have cleaned the thread.

Please, no more discussions about the VTB Export issue.

Today we upgraded the bomb release safety rules.

These are detailed as a table that provide minimum release altitude for bombs and minimum recovery altitude for the aircraft, based on bomb type and aircraft speed.

The table is a simplified version of real ones.

If your flight profile for a bomb run is outside these limits a cross will appear in the HUD.

Sweet news Zeus. Hopefully all your hard work makes it into one patch this time eh.

Will it block the release like negative G's would or does it only inform you of "you are on the highway to the dangerzone" through the hud ?

It just informs you. There are no safeties involved except your own judgment. :music_whistling:

Of course in real life you would avoid going into the highway to the dangerzone but since this is a simulation it is up to you. :smartass:

The cross will appear if your Indicated Airspeed is below 350. The optimal speed for bombs release is 450 but you can go as fast as 550 KIAS. Except for snakeyes, they are redlined at 500 KIAS, probably due to the fins. A higher speed can prevent them from opening.

Same with diving. Snakeyes are limited to a -30º dive and cluster bombs to a -10º dive. Slicks and GBUs can go as down as -60º dive.

If the cross appears you ran afoul of one of the release limits.

They would actually fly back into the aircraft, IIRC the USAF determinations. A lot of the airspeed limits have to do with weapon-aircraft collision due to separation from the aircraft airflow. Some of the effects on slicks are a typical hard pitch-down, causing the weapon tail to strike the wing it was dropped from, for example.

Not modeled in-game, but you get the idea :)

at the moment we can drop bombs at supersonic speeds

shouldn't there be any restrictions ?

Well, I believe there are no restrictions by the aircraft (M-2000), however it's not safe as said above. I don't think the aircraft will do any kind of restriction to not allow you to drop the bomb. Just guessing though

Latest updates committed for release (whenever it happens):

FM:

-Overall FM takeoff/landing/taxi update

-Corrected fuselage drag with respect to alpha

-Corrected gear reaction

-Corrected idle thrust behavior

-Removed various tuning factors/gains

Cockpit and Systems:

- Scaling of heading tape vs RS and AP indexes (HUD). WiP

- The AP * is not displayed in the HUD in APP mode. Fixed

- North-crossing issues (HUD) Bug. Fixed

- Backup ADI is not cageable/uncageable. Fixed

- Main ADI is not cageable/uncageable. Fixed

- Collision model update for RWR and Jammer sensors.

- External model update: Security paddles for guns and decoys added.

- LODs update.

- External model texture updates.

- RWR Update: self test.

- IP Bombing bug fix: radar antenna elevation when selecting IP bombing.

- PCA Trigger updated for CCRP, CCIP and SELECTIVE JETTISON.

- Radar AGR mode (TAS) reworked.

- CCIP Accuracy improved.

- CCRP Accuracy reworked.

- Removed CCRP Target Cross (Not used by real aircraft).

- MK-82 Multiple bomb release bug fixed.

- CCRP FPM now resets to normal FPM when no bombs remaining.

- V/UHF Panel Fixed

- G-Meter texture fixed.

- Texture for EP warning light changed from RED to YELLOW.

SELECTIVE JETTISON now works as emergency bomb release.

This means that you can drop MK-82, MK-82S, GBUs and BAP-100s either inert or armed, based on the fuse setting in the PPA. Other PPA settings are ignored. Bombs will be released from the aircraft as soon as you press the trigger and for as long as you keep the trigger pressed.

This means that you can drop armed GBUs when using a JTAC without the need to do a CCRP lock.

Cluster bombs CANNOT be jettisoned with SELECTIVE JETTISON.

For other weapons and drop tanks, SELECTIVE JETTISON have not changed.

Zeus, I'm sooo waiting for the updateeeee, ED wake up!!!!
