L-39 by Virtual Biele Albatrosy

Recommended Posts

Guys, this time I'd like to introduce our L-39ZAM Albatros to you. You could have seen our new model at VFAT 2011 for the first time. There it was flown by white #3 in the solo display. ZAM is a ZA variant modernised by Slovak Air Force to the NATO standards. The new model is based on the real L-39CM/ZAM and its simulator at Slovak Air Force Base Sliač that we had the chance to visit and test with pilots of real L-39s as advisors. As well as on the prototype of L-39 located in the Military Museum in Piešťany.

The plane has a modified flight model according to the real plane (to the extent that SFM in Lockon allows) and currently we work on 3D cockpits for both versions (CM and ZAM). We have got our hands on documents about flight dynamics as well as weapon systems, procedures, maintenance and other aspects of L-39 so we are able to create a mod as real as possible for DCS.

Well, sit back, relax and enjoy our screens :-)

I saw this thing fly on TV by a former Navy Top Gun retired Lt. Commander on History Channel's "Pawn Stars" a few nights ago. It was a 2 seater. The original air date of the program was November 28, 2011. The guy selling it wanted at least $200,000 US dollars for it. He didn't get it. He did not take less and moved on to the next buyer. The former Navy pilot said to expect to spend $5,000 monthly between storing it and maintaining it. Obviously it was staged.:pilotfly:

I just saw this thing in DCS World a few minutes ago on a non-English speaking server with 2 slots open to fly it. So, where is the download? You can log in, then watch it on keypad F4. I logged in with my P-51D Beta 2 as an observer.

Try a cerebral hemorrhage sometime. I did it 10 years ago. Lucky for me I can fly the sim world. I think it messed up my thinking process and reaction time and memory.

You offer this plane as a fighter add-on, I will purchase it.

I don't know why you brought that up ... the quote is a common Skyrim joke, but it's 'arrow to the knee' in the original. The slammer is the AIM-120.

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

right after the P-47

DCS: L-39C and L-39ZA Albatros Coming to DCS World

Another new aircraft coming to DCS World later in 2014 will be the venerable L-39 jet trainer, developed by Eagle Dynamics. We will first release the L-39C variant and then later the L-39ZA variant. This aircraft has acted as the primary jet trainer for many countries around the world for several decades. In addition to its training role, the L-39 can also be loaded with ordnance and act as a light attack aircraft.

We also plan for this module to include multiplayer front seat / back seat capability.
