years ago when I was using the x52, I ended up performing both the magnet and tension mod's too it. Not saying it'll help with your current issue. But it did help improve the precision for this...

But indeed, lower the PD to around 1.3 - 1.5 or so. Maybe even start at 1.0, and then work your way up. You have the GPU horsepower, and RAM to do well.
