Stick with the Jets in DCS. The jets are much more faithfully modeled with regard to flight characteristics. Buy the F-86 or a Mig-15 for an excellent gunfighter simulation.

I agree with the labels request.

As a VR flyer the lack of any visual assistance to bring DCS reasonably close to what one can see in reality is a deal breaker. There are plenty of label mods that...

Your post doesn't make much sense. Over the past 20 years I have had varying degrees of success with convincing flight modelers that torque exists. And just because a title might do some visuals of...

Not a troll. Just looking for an actual simulation of prop driven WWII fighters. It is a long quest. DCS does a great job with the jet simulations but there are serious holes in the props. My...

You can see in my video that it is simulator mode with takeoff assist and rudder assist off. I specifically included those points for folks like you.

The need for right rudder is NOT torque except on the ground. DCS does do some modeling to simulate some of the symptoms of torque but that doesn't mean torque is modeled.

On the ground the engine...

I have been ignoring DCS since my disappointment with the responses to this thread.

There is a basic misunderstanding of what Torque is on display here. (Not just in aircraft, in general physics...

That chart is great.

It needs to be applied to the flight model.

No control inputs are necessary at the moment.

Yes, stalling one wing before the other will cause a roll but that roll is...

I was doing some testing this morning and there does seem to be some base level of trim preset because left stick is required at low power settings. This may or may not be a faithful re-creation of...

It is quite sad that other, far less respected, WWII titles model torque better than DCS. There is no reason to not give us the option of flying at realistic levels of engine torque.

No point in...

That was the first thing I checked. It seems as if there is some level of rudder assist happening even though it is been confirmed to be unchecked. Takeoff assist is all the way left as well.

Flight Model modification question

Is there a way to alter the flight model?

Specifically I want to set engine torque effects on the P-51D and TF-51D to a more realistic level. They are ridiculously light forces at the moment.

I went from 55" inch to Rift and would never consider flying on a monitor again.

And the Rift is a lot cheaper than a fast 4K monitor of any size.

No brainer.
