  1. I really don't. But anyway I hope they fix other things before new weapons arrive, I would love to use DCS with less than 5000 bugs per module at least once before I die. I really prefer bugfixing than new weapons. Why would I want the SEA AG mode if the harpoon won't do more than 1% damage to a ship? Thanks.
  2. Huh??? I don't need data link for its increased range, I just launch earlier. I hope they fix the harpoon no damage bug before any of these.
  3. Yeah, I'm using that to follow all the threads again...
  4. I reported this may times and ED keeps saying correct as is. The last time I think BN or NL told me that this isn't a problem with TWS rather than an AI issue, being them cheaters. Who knows. In practice, we have a single player broken TWS in the hornet, simple as that.
  5. What happens if I subscribed to some of the ones I already had but were deleted?
  6. So after the new facelift of the forums I lost all the subscribed threads I had, leaving me with no way to trace bugs and stuff I was interested in. What's worse is that all the URLs changed and the spreadsheets I had to track bug results is useless now. Did this happen to everyone? Was this actually planned?
  7. OP has a good point in terms of future functionality. We will eventually get the TXDSG feature, which broadcasts your TGT to other Hornets. So I guess at some point we should get the markpoint creation at an SA TDC position. Or something similar that allows us to use that broadcast to make a TGT and then create a markpoint from there.
  8. I think that the dcs engine is not good enough to fix this, just like santi said it is a dcs limitation due to the base code being from decades ago. I gave up, I invest a lot of time of my life in identifying bugs and report them so we can have a better product, ED saves millions in beta test with people like us, now it's up to them to demonstrate their up to the task. Goal still to complete.
  9. @BIGNEWY the explanation requested is here https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-supercarrier/bugs-and-problems-bl/276998-investigating-iflos-not-stabilized#post7152557
  10. It is not referenced by that as stated here many times. It doesn't change when changing kollsman window.
  11. I was under ISA, sorry I thought it was assumed to be logical and I didn't clarify that.
  12. Thanks guys. I got it to work. Kind regards.
  13. I see a big difference between the F2 altitude and the HUD altitude at mission start in the air. With everything correctly set.
  14. Thanks guys, very kind of you! I think I'll try it out and see if I can get it to work without help. Do I take any risk by copying and pasting my own edited version? I mean, what if the file changes substantially in an update and I replace it? Will I break anything? Thanks again.
  15. Thanks guys, I wish this worked as it should. What .lua is the one I'm looking for? Thanks.
  16. Wait, I did some tests and the kollsman setting DOES affect the HUD, attack page, etc. Did I not understand the issue here? :music_whistling: The deltas in the radar must be calculated with the radar itself I think, cause those didn't change. EDIT: the "deltas" I was talking about were actually the antenna elevation. The target altitude is indeed magically known and I think that's a bug.
  17. Lol, hehe. Yeah, I know that for us to see an actual difference there has to be winds that comes from hell rather than a cardinal point, but it still is worth the report. :)
  18. Yes it does come from the ADC, but I guess there is more into it than we can probably know. By true altitude you mean what you called in OP DCS altitude, right? Then I guess the hornet has been all this time in a cheat state so as the systems can work way before they were simulated, thus making it know stuff magically. ED presence in the forums is far less than usual these days, I imagine they are hard at work trying to reach the 2020 goals and not let us down again; so I hope BN or NL can jump in here and provide us more in deph information.
  19. ICLS was the only change there was. IFLOS behaves the same since supercarrier day 1. You can even use the stennis and see the difference (stennis has the torsion bars modeled). Only way of trying is F2 view steady, let the boat pitch and see the ball move heavily. Funny enough, the stennis has the IFLOS working correctly but the ICLS bugged. Supercarrier has the ICLS working correctly but IFLOS bugged. :joystick:
  20. One of the most annoying things of the hornet development process is the inability to program the dispenser settings on the ground. When can we expect this little but painful bug be corrected? Thanks.
  21. The hornet uses many algorithms to calculate altitude for weapon delivery. Pressure isn't one of the favorites though. GPS altitude is the main one, corrected with the ADC, INS, pressure and others. HUD altitude isn't pressure altitude, is calibrated altitude by ADC.
  22. Hey! Sure no problem. Both ICLS and IFLOS are mounted on torsion bars so the pitch of the boat won't affect the angle at which the beam (ICLS) or light (IFLOS) projects. The ICLS was fixed already in an august OB patch. I know ED wrote "roll" but they fixed the pitch part. But the IFLOS still moves along with the axis of the deck, which is incorrect as the torsion bar makes a unique earth referenced angle. I do not know what is the maximum angle the torsion bar can compensate, as it is not magic and if the carrier pitches like hell there may be some degree of deviations in the actual angle, but the devs surely know.
