  1. You got 199% and 6x MSAA? with a 2070 Super. Which VR headset have you got because there is no way I could run this with a 2080 super and my Reverb
  2. Why is it that when you load a static objects template and then a mission , some of the static objects disappear?
  3. I had this green PLAY button for the previous free trial but now it's only for the JF17..no other module on steam. What's going on?
  4. I was asking sigfan86 because he is running MSAA x6 with a 2070 Super. I got a 2080 Super and have MSAA OFF with 130 SS in SteamVR. If I turn the SS to 96 and put MSAA x2 I get a similar image but with more stutters and ghosting. Was just curious how he is getting good performance on MSAA 6x with a slightly weaker GPU.
  5. Would it be possible to add flood lights like these to be able to comfortably refuel at night? https://militarymachine.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/US-Military-Aircraft-at-Night-Images-KC-135-Stratotanker-preparing-to-aerial-refuel-1024x769.jpg Currently the boom is lit up and the up/down/fwd/aft indicators...but thats it. It's like refuelling in a black hole and nearly impossible unless you use NVGs. Adding some floodlights shouldn't be too difficult to add, or is it?
  6. Whaaaat!? I never noticed! MIND IS BLOWN!
  7. +1 I had a 50 lbs asymmetric load and the roll tendency was there. To be fair I did not check my fuel tanks for an imbalance but this was shortly after take off. Trying to trim it out was impossible. I microsecond touch on the roll trim and it started rolling to the other side ever so slightly...try the other way, same thing.
  8. Would it be possible to add in the TCN freq+mode on the DED and when you have an A/A TCN to have the DME displayed. As per this video: I know it's BMS , my apologies.
  9. So basically I just have to delete the files in the FXO folder only because the other files do not get re-generated? And then apply the MOD again?
  10. You are correct. I was referring to the HAF manual and yes I just saw that this was for the D model. The other manual I read was the Basic Employment manual, chapter Refuelling Ground Operations: 6.3. Ground Operations. During normal after-start checks, check the AR system. Move the AR switch to the OPEN position and check the AR status lights for a blue RDY light on and the DISC light off. Depress the AR/NWS DISC on the side stick and check that the amber DISC light is on. Three seconds later, the RDY light should come back on and the DISC light should go out. Move the AR switch to CLOSE and check that the RDY light extinguishes. The crew chief will confirm operation of the AR door and slipway lights. Confirm that the slipway lights are also turned up to illuminate the refueling receptacle (Figure 6.1., Cockpit Switches). CAUTION: On the ground, depressing the AR/NWS button cycles the NWS. After closing the AR switch, check NWS light on prior to taxiing. So it DOES cycle the NWS. I did not realise that. I thought that if the refuel door was open on the ground that the indicator would refer to the AR system not NSW. All in all it's not a big deal at all. I would much rather have more functions available on the DED/ICP than this light.
  11. I can't remember what the message said exactly. Basically it was something similar to this: https://forums.eagle.ru/picture.php?albumid=1313&pictureid=10406 I was on 2.5.6 OB and had the latest mod running. I went to delete the metacache files in the DCS folder...but to my surprise there are no new shader files? Just the folder with my old.shaders folder I created last time when I installed the mod. Shouldn't I have new shader files there?
  12. So, I had an error yesterday on starting DCS. I uninstalled the shaders mod and it worked. Am I supposed to delete the FXO folder and SHADERS folder and re-install the mod to make it work? Or do I need to wait for a new mod version?
  13. Try ALT+TAB, and then WIN+Y (if you are using WMR). This happens quite a lot for me with my Reverb
  14. Ah right. Was wondering if it was the mod or not. Thanks for that. I hadn't tried the NVGs before the mod so didn't know.
  15. I had a similar issue with image being shakey and the headset struggling with tracking when I look around. It's not the lighting because the room is well lit. I wonder if the latest patch is causing it? Or perhaps it could be the USB port I was using...
  16. Ah cool! Thanks guys, I had a look at the bugs thread but must have missed this one. My bad
  17. No, it's not the gain. Basically, before it looked like this: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/f13/Mig-1.jpg So you could see and read the instruments at the bottom of the screen, as if you were looking below the NVG (like in real life). Now the whole screen is covered with NVG...as if the goggles are pressed up right against my eyes.
  18. Before the update i could read the cockpit instruments whilst using NVGs by looking at the bottom of the display (using VR). Since the update I have to switch the NVGs off to be able to read the instruments. Is this because of the update or is it because I had to uninstall the shaders mod? The mod gave DCS an error on startup.
  19. ah ok, I did a search for it but didn't see any posts on it. Glad to hear they are aware. I noticed that if you maneuvre to the right and keep the target on the left you do get an aspect angle with the letter L next to it, so that is correct. When maneuvering to the left side (right aspect angle) that is when you get the incorrect AA indications.
  20. no SIM in HUD when Master ARM set to SIMULATE? I get NAV, I get ARM but not SIM when the Master arm is set to SIMULATE. Bug?
  21. Ah right, misunderstood what you were trying to say. I thought you were talking about real world weights.
  22. As far as I'm aware the aspect angle on the MFD should only read between 0 to 18 and a L/R to indicate which side of the aircraft. When I was flying last night I saw an aspect angle of 22? Is it a bug or am do I not understand the symbology?
