  1. If you look at the down right corner you see that I have used 348K out of 964K, and the fact is ...I should have 768MB RAM. I have been experiencing very unstable usage, even just browsing with IE, not to mention gaming....someone has an experience like this?
  2. I have no comments on nor knowledge about missile behaviour in RL. But I do think slightly decreasing the missiles' effectiveness increases the fun factor since it encourages players to make wise shots rather than spamming missiles.
  3. Beautiful videos. OT: LOMAC really needs some work on its cloud and fog settings, they just look like toys floating in the air.

  5. Thanks, so I guess the screenshot posted by Acgaen is too small so I couldn't see clearly, it looks much better now. Thoug I would be happierif they can model some of the panel lines onto the model instead of just skinning it. Since I suppose flying a civilian jet would consume much less computation power, I think more resources could be used on the eye candy.
  6. This is a great idea. But...I dunno if it's the problem of the skin or what...it doesn't look so good. Can we have a shot on the clay model (without skin)?
  7. If they can get all that flight model, avionics stuff right, then I suppose it's worth the long wait. But I would like to add a point that maybe a year or two later the graphics tech could have advanced much, the models and terrain that they are showing now could be outdated.
  8. I used to check the site http://www.fighterops.com/ pretty often, but looks like it's been dead for about a year. Any one knows a thing about it? I have high hopes on the sim...well..I did.
  9. I do agree that flight sim graphic needs to be improved, but I don't find armedassault anything special, maybe it's because my screen is too low rez so I can't see the deatils. It seems that everyone is talking about next gen graphics ever since we knew about XBox360 and PS3, I am really looking forward to a serious combat flight sim (not arcade) which can utilize such technologies. (The next title of Microsof flight sim looks promising, but hey, it's not a combat flight sim)

  11. there were two main problems that are troubling me: 1. the crazily drifting mouse 2. being unable to set up the "win" button But I still have to wait for some time before I can tru out the new drivers, so any review from the community is welcome.

  13. I think it would be cool if someone simply develop a visor with hight rezolution, and let trackir do the headtracking. This could keep the whole set at a lower cost. Although the 3d visor looks cool, I don't think the price is reasonable.

  17. I remember I once downloaded a video demonstrating modelling a M-4 assault rifle, using 3dsMax6. Can't remember if I found it in this forum? Anyone have a clue?
  18. Nicely done!! Been away from LOMAC for about a month, and your work is bringing me back!! I have just installed 3dsmax7 on my PC, but it's VERY slow. My spec is GeForceMX400, is this the problem?

  20. Does anybody know some active Quake III forums? I played the game some years ago, but stopped ever since I started my flight simming hobby. But since I saw some news on an upcoming Quake IV to the series, it reminds me of the old love.
  21. As the AIM-54 close in, the RWR shows a steadily increasing signal power, barrel roll around its axis ~5 secs before it reaches full power. Works almost every time. But to add more realism, I prefer doing the F-pole+beaming approach. But the idea is the same, use the RWR to estimate the time of impact.
  22. I wonder if europe or the eastern world has the similar ROEs. If yes, then I suppose it's not too big a problem. Are the rules somehow being consulted with the UN of something?
